Gifted in song and mind, Jayden Felder is no stranger to the stage. Jayden, the son of a minister, began singing in the church choir at the age of 5. Cultivating his talent, by the age of 14, Jayden ventured into the world of Pop and R&B.; Because his father forbade him from singing "secular music," Jayden would often sneak to the studio where he could record original material. During this time, Jayden found a new world where his creativity and love for music was finally placed in a medium that allowed others to experience his most intimate feelings. Thereafter, Jayden decided that his destiny was "to be a professional singer." The doors of music began to open for Jayden. His first big performance was at the world renowned Apollo Theatre where he won voluminous competitions. Taken notice of Jayden's exceptional abilities, the Apollo Theatre hired Jayden to open up for such artists as the O'Jays, Brownstone and After 7. Shortly thereafter, Jayden opened for such gospel artists as Vicky Winans and Vanessa Bell Armstrong. Because of his love of education, Jayden embarked on a college career and graduated magna cum laude from NYU with a BA in Philosophy and Music. College is where Jayden honed his craft by training in classical music which gave him the ability to sing Jazz, Classical, R&B; and Pop/Rock. Jayden's versatility landed him lead roles in the Off-Broadway musical, Fame in L.A. and Tomorrow. With old school influences from Donny Hathaway, Stevie Wonder, Ella Fitzgerald and Whitney Houston, Jayden's powerful and universal sound engages the old with the new thus creating the marriage that gives birth to the "Jayden Sound." Jayden's motto derives from BB King's quote, "music gives my troubles wings and lets it fly." That is exactly why Jayden continues to create his music; for the world to allow his soothing voice and riveting lyrics to take their troubles away. Jayden's recent credits include, appearing as a soloist in Galt McDermott's Revival of Hair at Carnegie Hall and performing at the United Nations. With appearances at New York night clubs and showcases, Jayden continues to write for his demo project and other upcoming artists. Jayden's current goal is to have the opportunity to display his musical gifts to the entire world.
