Kwasi Mantey is a dynamic R&B; singer/songwriter born on Valentines Day in Worawora, Ghana, West Africa. While living in Ghana, Kwasi had aspirations of becoming a popular performing artist. Those aspirations prompted him to come to America in search of his dreams. Kwasi’s expressive talent evolves to being more than just a singer; he is also an outstanding percussionist. He received drum training at the acclaimed Arts Council Dance Company of Ghana, and he also played percussion for the popular GBC-TV BAND, and for Eddie Quansah an exceedingly popular musician in London. He has since choreographed dances for the Dinisulu Dance Company, and he also captured a role in the Broadway production of Satichmo.
Considering Kwasi’s extensive travels throughout the African, European, and Caribbean nations, Kwasi’s unique song-writing abilities and dynamic vocal abilities reveal an extraordinary blend of European, Caribbean, and American Rhythm & Blues sounds. His music reflects his compassion for life and his concerns for society. He has been compared to two of today’s greatest entertainers, Joe and Seal. Kwasi has a unique rhythmic sound that the whole world will enjoy. His main objective is to become a critically acclaimed international performer.
