Back to basics You know how it is: The feeling you get when you hear that good old fashioned guitar riff, and suddenly find yourself singing along while you play your imaginary guitar or drums. That's what Powerage is all about. In the winter of 2004, the guys in Powerage found themselves tired of noisy garage bands that may have the right sound and the MTV "rocker" look, but not the songs to go with it. They decided they wanted to make and play rock in it's most basic form: Hard, groovy and to the point. Just like in the old days of AC/DC, Kiss and Thin Lizzy. Never mind that they never would get their songs on the radio or be hailed as the saviours of modern music. They couldn't care less. That's not what rock'n'roll is about anyway.... And wouldn't you know it: Powerage is a live band first, then everything else. That is when the real power of the band is unleashed. With smiles on their faces, energy through their music and a singer that knows exactly how to communicate with the audience and be a little dangerous at the same time, Powerage is the kind of band who makes you think: “Why aren’t every band like this on stage!?” You Should See Us Rock – Demo 2004 September 26th 2004 the band entered a local studio and six hours later the demo You Should See Us Rock was finished. The demo shows a band that already has a grip on writing and performing old fashioned rock’n’roll, but not without a certain amount of irony. They don't take them selves too seriously. Since then, the band has written several more songs that equals and even surpasses the quality of the tracks on the demo. And they can't wait to play them for you....!

Obviously we're influneced by AC/DC, but the main inspiration are all the bands that played hard rock for the fun of it through the 70's and 80's. That's what it's all about!
