I Feel Your Poison
Great sound...I would have loved for the guitars to have been louder...a powerful wall of guitar sound. that's the only change I would make to a great tune.
Nice rock song. The distortion was always in control. Cool song.
This is very catchy, the whole song sounds like on massive chorus. It reminds me a bit of another artist on here called Phil. He writes big catchy hooks in this style. The music sounds very 'synthetic' if that makes sense? If it was a bit more raw and had more dynamics you could give the real chorus more impact, as at the moment like I said the whole thing sounds like a chorus. No denying its a good song though and I don't want this to come across as negative. Rated, Craig.
This is fab PJ Taylor, luv the darkness tone to your track, well done with this, & nicely performed. Only small crit. would be the vocal at times are a bit loud, but luvin' the track.
Drawn to the title. Song is Soooooo fracking catchy. Has definite commercial appeal. Enjoyed mate.
I downloading this...
whoa ! I feel it
A very commercial song and a good vocal performance PJ, clear and hitting the notes (auto tune or not), with some nice touches i can pick out all your lyrics, but there lies the rub! I want to FEEL and hear that poison in your voice!!!!! Whilst the backing track left plenty of space for your voice it didn't seem to change much dynamically to compliment what was going on vocally. I hope you find these comments helpful as it's a good song, cheers, IB.
Realy classy track PJ, Reminds me of Alice coopers Poison the way you sing it. As usual your vocals are 1st class and im loving the guitar work. Production is great etc. Highly recommended. Thumbs Up!
lovely energy and great dark lyrics! Very well performed throughout but your voice is the star of the piece - as it should be (but so often isn't) for many tracks of this type. Thanks for the listen. Easy vote!
Hi Pj - well done for getting to number 2 with this track - i love it!!!! C;)
Hey PJ - well done on the no 2 spot and thanks for the comments and support for "Set You Free". James
I like the energy you have on this track. You are getting better with each track as far as I'm concerned. I really like the lyrics and the vibe of this tune. The only thing I could think of to make it better was if the guitar was done by someone who could bring this tune to another level. But still, not to take one bit away from what you have done here - this is great, man! You keep on doing your thing and you will go far, I'm telling you. I like your heart - and you have lots of it, PJ! Congratulations on hitting number 2!!! GREAT TUNE, MAN!!!
well done getting in at number 2 with i feel your poison its a great song mate
Congrats PJ. another great song!
I would like to say a massive thanks to everyone who voted and commented on this track this week. I really appreciate it. Reaching No.2 in the mp3 unsigned chart as well as Unsigned Band Web is fantastic. Watch out for my next upload which will be the RnB duet Breathe A Little Deeper featuring Helen Webb! PJ
Hi PJ congratulations at reaching the number 2 spot.Paul
I'm listening on pc speakers and yeah I can hear the extra notes you're putting in there in the bass in places. But I'd think about an 8th note bass pattern almost throughout, to add to the momentum. Speaking as a bass player here ;o)
Hi Tony. Thanks for your honest feedback I appreciate it. I usually go out of London to record my tracks at a friend's studio who is also a recording artist. I can't remember what the name of the equipment is but I will check it out the next time I am in there. Once again thanks for your comments. PJ
Just got round to this one. This is a good tune and very catchy, but I have to mention a couple of things (you know I don't do 'yeah great man' so bear with me). The backing track doesn't do it for me, as it has little variation and sounds back in the mix. This may be a level/eq/reverb issue but it doesn't gel. The stuff you've added is much more live feeling. I think your vocals could do with a lift in the upper mids to bring them out, and the reverb sounds a bit cheap to be honest. What mic and reverb do you use? Sorry for negativity but this is a good commercial track and deserving of some work. Rated cos it kept me interested.
Love the powerful vocals. This is my favourite of yours to date. You're in a class of your own PJ.Rated.John & Paul.
nice job yet again! very nice harmonies and I like the chorus.. the quality is excellent.. loving the percussion on this one.. and nice effects and synth work!
Pj, this is excellent, your vocals are fantastic,I love the tune.
Great tunes here pj, thumb for "poison"
Greetings and salutations from the Siberia of Great Britain - South Wales. (althiough there may be some Scots who would debate this.) Thanks for the comments, great feedback, keep 'em coming they are much appreciated. Love this track, not just catchy its genuinely catching (we mean infectious!) Great lyrics, nice mix, its a winner!
Love the intro PJ. This is a very commercial sounding track. Your vocals are becoming very distinguishable and each track gets better and better you are a real talent and as has been said already how you remain unsigned is a mystery! Take Care Andy :)
thank yolu for the nice coments it mean alot, your music is great very good arangements and fit's perfectly with the vocal.simply great.
Hey PJ.... "I Feel your poison" Great song....def got Bon Jov sound! Great vox, music arrangement... Your awesome...:)
Great track PJ, good stuff here. I love the distortion in the back too, a bit harder than your typical sound. Nice work here.
Hey P.J. Nice track! Cool mood you created on this one. Has a modern sound along with an 80's retro feel, which I really dig. Nice produciton too. Good job! Thumbs up.
Nice on PJ. Very well done. Radio ready as they say....whoever they are....;o).
This is a fine breezy pop song -the chorus has a real catchy sweep to it. I'd probably like to hear the guitars and rhythm section brought up a little more - but that's a personal preference and not a criticism - there's no doubting the ability on display. Good work.
Your voice is just perfect for this song...and the song is excellently written and I love the rhythm....tops!!
Hi PJ, moved on to this one next! Tis a good production and song again. Think i do prefer your softer, more ballad type songs. You,ve done a great job with it tho. It did keep reminding me of Alice Cooper, ( Thats the song that started me playing guitar!). Think some well placed harmonies would really enhance your songs also....
Hey PJ.. Thanks for the feedback, I reaaally appreciate it. ;) Good work on this song too! There's something really special about your voice, love the hook and love when you sing on a higher scale, sound really good! Ending of this song is perfect too! Lots of potential.. Voted! -KNOX-
Curious to know who does ya backing tracks PJ? Nice work, although it seems a bit subdued for me.Great vocal work,obviously...just think the leash could be loosened on the dynamics...if that makes sense..?:) R8ed.
Thanks for checking us out. Like yo music keep it up.
Perosnally, this is my favourite of the work you have uploaded to date! Lovin the poetry within the lyrics and the vocal harmonies! Flows well and to be honest, I would love the chance to remix this track, in a dance/euro type track way! Up to you PJ!! Cool track anyways and I love it, Rightely rated!!!!!! Baz
Hell yeah - PJ this is great - just up my street - love it!!!! C:)
pj this has a great commercial vibe akin to many aor bands, great solid music throughout and strong heartfelt vocal delivery. the mix of the overdrive guitar parts and the keyboard interplay spell a well crafted song that is catchy and powerful...great!
another hit song, pj. I finally figured out who you remind me of, and thats corey hart. best of luck going forward
Hey PJ, this is my favorite of all the tunes I have heard from you! This has an edge that I haven't heard from you before and I love the lyric! Nice solid guitar in the background and your vocal is sublime! Super job...I can see why it did well elsewhere! Thumbs!
Never mind poison - this has a magic potion! Great lyrics and melody that you delivery in such a pro way. This should be on the radio and we have to agree that your signing is long overdue !! Bravo PJ.. Big Thumbs as you may have guessed!
Paul, hello.. Ive only got a few mins but on listening to this latest, i like it!.. The autotune allows this song to not sound fully 80s... it kinda blends modern with that cool rock sound of the 80s.. Love the backing track, nice riffs and good use of backing vocals.. I can see and understand why you use that autotune, alot of mainstream artists use it... and yes it can be over-used but here is works for me.. Good solid track.. I will be in touch soon, long long story mate!
thanks for the comments on my page PJ....different to your last one...I listened to it...but wasn't for me...this one has more appeal... is this a midi backing track? sounds alot like Alice Cooper... I do wish you wouldn't use so much auto tune...you obviously have a decent voice but you kill it with so much auto tune...that was the main reason I didn't comment on your last one... I know you use it on all your tracks but some are less noticeable... I'd love to hear what you sound like without it...peace,Ricky
You so easily capture and hold ones attention with the dark but catchy hook "I feel your poison". This could be taken as metaphor for me as a lover that's just not good for you or a bad dangerous habit of another kind. Either way it works. And you delivery is confident and musical.
How the hell you are still unsigned is beyond me! You belong on radio, TV the works....... Ace song indeed in every way - tune, lyrics, backing and, of course, your superb voice.
This is a great track! My goodness this song has it all. I really feel an 80's vibe but your vocals really give it a modern feel as well. This would work in almost anyway. You could play solo piano and sing and it would turn out to be awesome and that's great songwriting. It does'nt surprise me that your bio has always read you play no instrument and that you create the melody in your head and build around it. That's exactly what Jim Morrison did with the doors and we all know where they went. Love that you mention addiction because I'm a former drug addict who's two year mark of being totally clean is coming up and I have to thank Heather for giving me the strength to achieve that but I do feel that struggle in your words. A very passionate song in every way. Great track PJ and thanks for your latest review on our songs. Please keep them coming because we can't get enough of you and always keep the faith!
Hello PJ - fantastic intro - lovely rock vibe - great melody and lyrics and a classy vocal performance. Songwriting of this calibre just proves how much of a major talent you are. Hey PJ, this relationship angst is a great source for heart-wrenching songs as you prove here, clever lyrics and so strong vocals make this a real tight and impressive song, no wonder it did so well. Can see you riding high on here too. Great work mate. - Deon
Your tracks are coming to life with this trend to engage the darker slice of relationships. I love it, PJ! Shows your flexibility...from whimsical to poison and "straight to hell..." Nice echoes ..the lyrics and the track are a sweet fit! I "..feel the jagged edge..." on this one! Nice sustain at the end ;) Thumbs!

OOps! I mean to sayt -That you have yet to post a song that has failed to impress me! Rock on!
