Heya all,
To celebrate my summer comp thingy and the fact that I'm actually featured artist of the week (and the fact that my financial advisor told me that I had a good year 2004) I hopped in the local hardware shop and got a bit triggerhappy

Got one of those MS20 clones (legacy collection) at a bargain and a M-audio Triggerfinger midi controller (for the good old AKAI feel )
Think she'll notice ?
This is so gonna cost me a lot of juwelery I'm afraid
Hans.

It was nothing to do with them being all shiny with lots of knobs and dials then?

Nice work Hans - you've got the gear lust at the moment haven't you?
I don't think she'll mind too much.
Tell her that you needed the new gear to finish the song that you've been writing for her or something - chicks like that stuff
I recently got myself one of these:
Yamaha RS7000
And one of these:
Novation KS Rack
Learning how to use them at the moment, my girlfriend hasn't found out yet...

The novation sounds sweet Michael. I've heard the v-station reads the K-station sysex, but I prefer hardware anyday ! I need nobs and dials and shiny things (yes Graham) to fondle with !
Kameleon, the MS20-vsti is great. The controller makes it nicer to play with.
Michael the Yamaha is cool aswell. I find it hard to play with a groove box.. I've got a Korg ea-1 (you know the first series) somewhere, but it's way too unfriendly to program. The sounds are sweet though. '
Hans.

MRS. Drainage??? Hans, is there something you're not telling us? Has the doctor finally popped the question??
Great gear though, bring it over to The Hague one time ... I'm sure it's not as heavy as your drum kit....

The midi controller is SICK, I've got 2 friends who have the same piece of equipment. Congrats on all your latest achievements, and nice spot for the midi.

Im getting some harware together because computers just bog me down. I find them really frustrating.

The Yamaha is a deep machine. You have to spend some time with it to understand whats going on. It's going to do what I want it to though - eventually!
The Korg electribe series are nice, Im thinking about getting an EA-1 and an ER-1. The best thing about harware is that if you don't get on with it you can sell it on again for the same price
