Gonna be off line for a bit I'm afraid. I think that I'm infected with a particularly nasty virus or trojan....though none of my scanning apps can detect anything.

Downloaded what was supposed to be latest DivX codec last night, and since then I can't get online properly, websites freeze, or won't let me access them at all. Took me three attempts and three cookie deletions to get in here.

The PC has started to behave 'strangely' since then, certain programmes have stopped working etc. So I have no choice but to format my hard drive. This is so annoying, as I'd finally got it setup the way I wanted it, with all my plug-ins logically installed and everything nice and tidy

I'll be out of the loop from 5.00 pm this evening onward until I've completely formatted and re-installed everything.

So if anyone has any messages pending etc. Please send them before I leave work this evening.

Irony is that I've had someone from Head Office IT sitting with me all morning configuring something or other, so I can't even use the damned net at work!!!

She's gone down to make a drink...so have to be quick lol.....

Finally, if anyone knows of a location in which I can get a malaware free version of the latest DiVX codec, please let me know.

Hi hunny thats not good news about your puter.  Oh well do you ever get the feeling that you have been there before!  Anyway do you have any news for me about Slowburn?  Still waiting to hear from you about that.

Still waiting for update on the animation project Tracey. Latest is that it's definitely going to be shown at the Sundance Festival. I don't know if 'Slowburn' will feature in the final cut, though I've submitted the track for use.

Regarding the computer: I need a new hard drive basically. The one have is only a 20 gb drive and well over 5 years old...and I bought it from a friend, so God knows how old it is in reality. It's getting a bit clunky and noisey as of late.

Asked my wife if I could buy a new 80 gb one today for £35, but was told no, we can't afford it

So I'll just have to stick with the one I have.
