I've just had an email from a guy claiming to be an A&R man from Staue Records.

He's apparently interested in distrubuting our songs and getting them airplay.

Says he found out about us through this site.

Anyone here had dealing with Statue Records?- are the genuine or should we steer clear.

We got that same mail, and also he (Warren Ryan) mailed a contract...

But there's a loooooong thread about this at cdbaby.com

Yep. I got two, one for D'Sential and one for Genius Project. Also got a contract, they want money basically.

Got mine late last night, I sent a reply back asking them to remove all my artist names and email address(s) from there database, I also challenged them to actually STATE which track they were interested in, or to actually NAME a track of mine.....

I also explained to them, that I was well aware of the contract I would be bound by if I were to sign and that I would not wish torecieve any further correspondance from them, or any other company they feel they wish to affilliate them self with.

So for no response...
