I've done a new track.  It might even be construed as slightly upbeat and happy.  Imagine that.  It's still a bit rough, and the vocal needs editing or redoing, but any comments appreciated.

Thanks.

I cannot take so much happiness...lol. It'll be cool once you eq, mixdown, and finalise the master...I really like the idea and see it in one of those Brit Films as one of those snapshot scene thingies where the music explains all and the camera just shoots the wonderful scenery of somewhere like Sheffield or something. Great stuff and wonderful string and keyboard flute harmonics!

Nice one Jon m8 ;o)

Super so far.  I'll rate when it's downloadable and you decide it's complete.  A really full mix of instrumentation.  Your style all over this, which is a great thing.

Very impressive, nicely chilled.  Clear slightly haunting vocals which work really well.  Find myself really listening as to what direction your going to take the song in next.

Great song!

Sounds pretty good for an initial mix.  Lovely song, I'm looking forward to hearing this when it's complete

Wow, thanks everyone for listening and for such a positive reaction.

I'm pleased with the guitars, I like that dreamy feel.  I'm thinking of adding some drums to it, coming in right from the first verse, but I can never make drums sound like drums.  I'm also having trouble getting the mix to work so that all the instuments get their own place to come through, and the vocal isn't quite right either.  I will have to stick at it, I guess.

I will probably have another go tonight.

Cheers.

Hi jon

I really love this. Its up there with your other stuff. Its good to see that you can consistantly produce the goods.

I had a little trouble hearing the vocals clearly in places, I think Youth nailed it when he mentioned EQ.

Musically its beautiful. I dont know about adding drums to it tho? Perhaps put them on and let us hear them and give you feed back on them then.

I'll vote and comment as soon as I press post reply!
