Carol Sue's Diary - Updates Please!

Hi Carol Sue glad to see yo about again..

I can't add to much to the diary as I only get here when the work stops, which is infrequently. 

The personal side of things has seen me trying to make my job happen.  weird statement I know.  I'm a Family Worker at at a Primary school. Part of my remit is is try to try and involve parents in a number of things that not only benefit their children but also themselves personally. 

Like many schools the malaise inherent in getting parents involved in something wholly positive is not always easy as they tend to take the cue from their own personal experiences with their early education.

Apart from that it's the full on charge towards christmas and all that entails. 

Nuff of that .......   Keep well and start getting your music going again.

Kelly - Mr. Magic himself! You've always been so kind! I had heard about Dan's wrist and also heard you had inspired him to never give up! What a guy you are! ;) I am so happy he followed your advice. He is such a talent as you are too! Sorry to hear however, about his gear being stolen and about his wife. Bless his heart.

Stew has given up? No way! That Scarlet Pimpernel must be on a time-out! I have come to know everyone must need a time-out from time to time. Stew? Come back, come back wherever you are!   This was one of the first music sites I had ever joined. I feel rather dedicated. I renewed my V.I.P back in June even when I knew I wasn't feeling into participating (with life in general) - but I do support this site -- it's always and forever in my heart!! Now where is that picture I have of Stew from around 2004 or 2005?...hmmm, lol.
Mark Holley had a rant? That is hard to believe!! Glad to hear he's okay now! One of these days I'd love to go hear him perform live - he doesn't live too far away. I feel like getting out these days! (thank goodness!) I've threatened him so many times to have a beer together! lol... He's quite the talent that man! I just love his music, always have!
Tedd in the food fight huh! oh, I miss the food fights!  'Twas the only rant form that I liked as it was a fun rant! Yes, I learned to stay away from the Rant and Fight club. I pray to keep the strength not to peek again either!  lol...
What is "The Girls Next Door?" a broadcast of some kind? Oh Kelly,...sorry to hear about Kendra. ((hugs))
I second that about Bush!     The economy is just aweful right now!  My husband Vic works for Spirit, and he has been cut to only 3 days a week. Hopefully by the New Year he will be back full time. It's really scary around here lately! 

Hi Melinda!  I hope you stay well my friend! I'm not sure what was wrong but may you always stay healthy & happy! New Orleans, Wow! Oh!, your cafe gigging sounds like so much fun!! Wish I could be there to hear you! Have you any videos to watch?  Such a talent you are missy!! I bet you just sort of glow when you are performing and it sounds like you have quite the audience there too!!  I am just so proud and happy for you Mel!
Not sure how far Steve Lindsay lives from you? I did receive a telephone call from him about a couple months ago. What a guy! Next time he comes to Wichita Kansas hopefully we can meet in person! He is still performing with the Larry Lane band, if you remember.  It sounds like you are doing so great! This is fantastic news!! Thank you for sharing your story that you are sticking too! hehehe....:)

Hi Rob! Somehow in reading this post I rather feel as though it's some kind of Wizard of Oz vibe!  haha... You, being like the tin man with the big heart and sorta like the scarecrow that always had a brain!   From day one in joining this site you have showed nothing but support, dedication, kindness and and such an awesome talent!  
You know... I can relate to "trying to make the job happen!" Not only must it be just a job with a pay check, but it sounds personally rewarding! To be able to help others... man, that is priceless!  I wish you always, the very best of the best, kind sir!!
I had been trying to open a thrift store for the Alzheimer's Association. Rather long stories, as it's been a couple years now since my efforts started and then after my mom passed away I just lost my drive to do anything really. But I am back on the path. I use to be the Director for the Union Rescue Mission which helped the homeless. Best job I ever had!! I quit shortly after my mom was diagnosed with cancer. Took her too see her sisters in Illinois which I will never regreat but sadly it got in the way with my job. But helping others just seems like the right path.
Yes! Christmas is almost here! I too, need to get with that program!! Decorations and all this year! I hope you have a wonderful Christmas my friend! ;) Merry Christmas to all!!

Ahh, Angel! As you know I have been doodling on Facebook this past month and it's so nice to see you there too! So many "applications" and such it's quite a time waister isn't it! For me it's been good just to get back on the computer! haha... I still haven't figured that site out! Direct me if I'm missing something!!   One thing I have always loved about this mp3unsigned site, is it's simplicity to navigate! Yes, I have to agree with you that in many ways 2008 has been a crap year! God bless that the New Year is remembered as being the best year ever!
Now that is a battle well worth fighting for Angel! I do keep you in my thoughts and prayers - you stay strong my friend! I mention my mom quite a bit. She was my best friend as well as my mom, just un-replaceable!! Not only did she have Alzheimer's Disease but she also had cancer. She was a 5 year survivor. At first, in being diagnosed right off with stage 4 lung cancer.  I've been trying to get her records to the cancer research as maybe the medications and such she was on may have slowed down the progression. When my mom lost her hair it grew in really curly and rather course and then it just turned into the most prettiest head of hair!  The older I get... I think I have to quit plucking the gray one's out!!  They say to: Grow old gracefully? Heck no! I'm gonna kick & scream the entire time!   lol...   I did make a video a short while ago for Abeey Williams and Chris Maxwell's song "Thirteen" - such a wonderful tribute to Abeey's friend, I felt compelled to make the video. I hope the cancer center will some day appreciate and use there song in some way to help the cause.
I think we should all send out our angels to help this site. I have felt drawn lately and been having dreams again... Oh Anyway, this is not only a site.... it's become a tradition!! Thank you for sharing Angel, you are a doll!
