 Hi everyone, and happy new year
 I got some decks for christmas (which was a suprize ) so been doing some mashups, i only have one question that i realllllllllllllly need an answer too .... can i upload a mashup onto here? (thats 2 songs mashed together to make one)
ive just finished one by Chicane and Amber, and would love to upload it here, just not sure if im allowed too or not. can someone pleaaaaaaaaase help???
Thanks m' dears, i really would love an opinion or 2 on my mixing skills hehe xxx

I put a cover up on here one time and was asked to remove it - fair enough, it was a George Michael song which may have explained it.....but I think the same policy applies for mashups as it would for covers; If it contains material that doesn't belong to you or that you've used without permission it's not allowed and you'll be asked to remove it.
Stick it on your myspazz, they don't seem to care  |

cheers tommy, myspazz is just the whore of the internet (did i really say that? But i will keep my fingers crossed for mashups to be allowed, i worked hard on this one and done a video for it too, it would be a shame, because i have done a few remixes but i can see why they wouldnt be allowed .... as you are are using someones elses music

I asked stew if I could upload tracks with me on mainstream beats and it was a no go, I guess the site could take a fall for allowing copyrighted material, you could always do searches to see if your allowed to do anything with that particular material tho. well its up on youtube for the moment, its my first ever mashup so i'll look into that at a later date hydro. i really just wanted some feedback as to whether im cr*p at mixing lol

As with all commercial music, I'm sure you can upload it once you have permission from the artists concerned. Whether you'll get it or not is another story.

Upload it to your own website or a file sharing site and post the link on the forums. As long as it isn't physically hosted on the site it should be okay, I don't think anyone would make a big fuss as long as you give credit.
