For those of you who've been to my website you already know I have a section devoted to jimi, I uploaded that video through veoh.com, you can leave ppl comments on vids like on youtube, so on my jimi upload I left a comment about my website (tons of ppl view and download jimi) and a guy talks about how bad my music is quality wise then the dickhead says "I'm gonna put it on cd", now it p*ssed me off cuz none of my music's for d/l just streaming, so obviously the guy has IDM or something similar with IDM as soon as you come to a page with music or flv content it automatically prompts you too download the sh*t, I had to get IDM cuz I found out DAP's spyware so whenever I come to your pages there's the annoying ass promt to d/l EVERY PAGE VISIT (it p*sses me off) so now I've decided that not only do I not want a vip account (30 tracks for them too steal, I think not), I also don't wanna put more than like 4 tracks online, and not even from the same album either cuz that's just too much BS, you guys have been doing this sh*t for years so I wonder how much of your work has been stolen and bootlegged, and obviously ppl aren't being shy about putting my crap ass audio on cd so I wonder if anyone's stolen my sh*t, doesn't matter cuz it's garbage and so is my CC license but for ppl that pay to copyright their tracks, and for ppl that have good audio I have to wonder if it p*sses you off. |

I dunno, I don't really mind about that stuff. It's kind of flattering, after all the reason we put stuff online is to get exposure and feedback. I only mind if people sample your stuff or take your ideas without giving credit.

Yeah that's good logic, I know how to kill off reg bootleggers for a while (reg meaning the kind that buy from the store than rip) I'll need a college student for that tho, hopefully whoever burns our stuff will be the reason we get discovered, lol THAN all would be forgiven, but right now I don't even wanna think about ppl making money off me when I'm not even making money off me.

If someone steals your stuff they are just sad...worthless individuals ..........there is no point worrying about it......usually an artist will make it on the whole package.......who the person is, their personality etc etc.......I've said this before that for me it is the satisfaction of making a track and knowing that you done it. If someone goes and copies it then like James said it's quite flattering really. If they were to go and make money out of it.....sure you would be mad.....but they are the sad t**ts who have to live with their conscience that they are stealing from someone....and that material gain is the root of their life. In 99% of cases where this happens it's just going to be a 1 hit wonder anyway as they obviously didn't have the talent,creativity or origanilty to make it themselves.....so what happens with the next track. Hiding your tracks away isn't going to get you any exposure. So just rollllllllllllllllll with it

Motherly advice eh? lol It still p*sses me off, I am american after all, and worse yet I'm poor, that's a terrible combination, all about the money for americans, me too but not in the same sense, I have a different goal in mind for my finances, and because of that goal it just p*sses me off, lol thanks for trying tho mom.

Hey less of the mom....although I'm proud to be a mum......hard work bringing up kids you know........the hardest job you'll ever do in your life.I never had to say I had kids I could lie, but they are the best thing that ever happened to me ............ I'm broke too...I have three kids to feed.....I would love to make money from doing what I love and give my kids a btter life....all I'm saying is cross that bridge if and when you come to it. Now go tidy your room...........

 ...like you should be worried about people stealing free stuff. Just be glad they think its good enough to listen to. Its not like you paid to make that music and get it out there.

well the only reason it's free is cuz of my license, it wouldn't be free with a normal one, like I said, all the music on my site isn't for d/l, if it weren't for this free license they really would be stealing, I guess it's all a matter of point of view, my pov: I'm dying here and they're making money off me there, you guys pov: I'm flattered someone robbed me...LOL to each his or her own.

hey Hydro...name me one piece of music that,s completely original and i,ll eat my hat......everybody copies and they,ve been doing it since music was first discovered (is discovered the right word? )....every chord sequence, every rythm,every guitar solo, etc etc...they,ve all been done and done to death..the only thing that changes is the image and the vocal quality.....i think every hiphop track i,ve ver heard has been nicked from bach or haydn or beethoven! ha ha...so dont go worrying about it ! ha ha Howsie |
