I still prefer to use Melody Assistant for the composition though. You might actually like to play with it. It lets you 'draw' the notes in, on an actuall staff, but you have the option of having the note sound when you scroll the staff. So you don't really have to know what the note is, just listen to how it sounds. The program is just 15 dallers but you can download it and play with it for free. I can play piano, but I am not so smart with the techinal part. I have actually learned quite a bit from that program.
I have learned how to edit now with 'bars' (well, that's what I call them, anyway-like in cubase). I think about how foreign these programs were to me in the beginning. And how a little over a year ago I didn't even know what 'panning' was. I have come a long way and can't wait to grow more.
