That is, I stripped off the sheets, duvet & pillow slips.  Then I turned over the mattress & replaced all the bedding, all on my own - HOORAH for me.

So what's so exciting about that you ask?

Well those who've known me here (& at that other place) for a while will understand & appreciate what's just happened & how elated & I am.

Those new to knowing Spyda will appreciate what a mamoth task this has proven to be to me after having a minor stroke (TIA), just under 3 years ago & losing 65% strength in my left arm, leg & face. (I still can't smile fully yet tho'  lol)

I am getting much stronger each & everyday now and as my strength improves, so is my self esteem & confidence. (Oops, you'd better look out now folks the ol' Spyda man will be back soon it seems lol.)

Never been one to hold in my emotions you can imagine the tears rolling down my face (& the sweat too) as I completed the bed change today.

WOW!  It didn't used to be that hard did it? Serves me right for having a King size bed I suppose lol

Applause & huge pats on the back from all for me please (hey not too hard I've still got a bad back & stuff ya know lol)

BLOODY HELL CLIVE.....................I never knew. I had wondered where you'd been and remembered ages ago you said you were going down in the south-west (further than darkest Dorset) working someehere.

Blimey, I don't know what to say except I am GENUINELY glad to hear you are making progress. What an awful thing to happen - and to such a TOP bloke too.

Hi Clive,

Well done mate. When I was younger i had a motor bike crash. Paralized my arm, and it took 3 year to come back and I know that every milestone in your recovery is massive, so a huge well done.

We can - eventually, and with hope, expect a full recovery in time Clive?

It's good to learn that things are getting better for you. It's the first piece of genuine good news I've heard within the last two weeks in fact. I truly hope that this is the harbringer of better days to come, I'm personally about three stages removed from hurling myself off the edge of the nearest multi-story carpark, whilst wearing a lemon yellow snorkel jacket right now...but your post has really cheered me up.

In fact it's good just to have you back on the boards in general.
