Thats how a competition has always worked

So my assumptions were correct

Not - Ill enter all my tracks on my page and hope for the best (not putting any effort into the competition - Plus when Kiopo has kindly DONATED a magnificent prize such as this, deserves effort, atleast)

CORRECTION- I entered ONE original track, that I felt FIT the criteria. There was a GREAT deal of EFFORT that went into the creation of the tune,I'm sure, as much EFFORTas any other song in the competition, so your assumption it was effortless is without basis and childish.

A large effort on my part goes into any song I'm a part of whether it was created yesterday or last year.

I can't speak for you, but that's how I work.

So your track(s?) you entered were made with you having Treasured Possesions in mind, previous to the competition?

Not "Treasured Possesions " in mind exactly when I wrote it 2 months ago, but I would say definatly the same type sentiments, without a doubt. I couldn't find where the rules said it had to be a newly written peice. If it did, then I shouldn't have entered it.

Most of the song contests I enter, only give you a general criteria as a basic guide for a song, and have no rules against prviuosly written material, as long as it's original. I thought this competition was being run the same way as it didn't state anything different in the rules.

Sorry if I missenterpreted the rules.

Again, I think the rules should have been more clear on the subject and any confusion would have been avoided.

The problem with generalizations, is they actually may offend a wider group than the group they were pointing at originaly.

My original post was made as an atempt to clear up whether I should delete my song from the competition or not, and to clearify the rules.
I only got offended when you elluded to the fact that the song I entered took NO effort to make.
