i'm starting to get used to this mp3 world and i'm lovin it
it took awhile to get adjusted but i got that "gwop" now
let me share somethin with yall real quick:
when you come from the jungles of this often wicked music biz and you come into a territory where your music gets accepted with extreme love and no musical prejudice, it's beauty personfied especially when i see my songs getting love on these charts and the comments being left for songs that some record labels slept on or told me that this can't do this or that. i always knew in my heart that my songs had a place in this business because it's always been the fans at my shows showed me and told me. the realization of the power of my music truly came when i was offered a publishing deal with SESAC free of charge, when i was asked back to perform at the songwriter's hall of fame showcase (3 times which is a first in the history of the company) and when people of different ages (mostly late 30's & 40's) and races besides my own who didn't like hip-hop and was never really into it until they heard my music. that's how "the most talented" thing came about because i realized all the factors that seperated me from my peers even though we are all in this together. it's easy for anybody to be "king" , "ruler". "prince" or "princess" but to be something that i truly represent made it all good for me because i paid my dues to earn that title in the last 15 years and it's finally starting to pay off. mom always told me if you don't determine your worth, someone else will. nuff said !!! this is aint a mushy situation. just some truthful s--
thanx to everybody for the love, encouragement, insight and knowledge !!!!!
