Cool jazzy sax opening. Pretty cool lyrics and vocals too. The music sounds crisp and clean. The musicianship is excellent - very evenly distributed parts in which nobody gets lost and every instrument has its own spotlight. I can't remember ever noticing that in another song. Yours is the first!
Like this a lot. Very nice. Groove is great. Very smooth overall sound. Enjoyed this. Thumbs up. Wait for Stars
great tunes man!
Love your work and production Great artist!
Cheers on a great song! Everything is this just gels perfectly and a nice punchy production to boot!
Like the vibe here - suits the weather we are presently having. Production is spot on and the vocals fit the genre extremely well. Excellent job
Not a big fan of reggae, but I like what you're doing with this, stepping out quick with that delicious sax right after that deft keyboard intro certainly caught my ear. Very urban sound all-round, smooth and silky unlike other bits I've heard in this genre. Nice guitar! That lead break was class! Interesting drum track, I like that reverb, didn't expect that and the bass moves it all along quite nicely. Vocals fit just right, my only beef is the lyricist didn't see fit to post the lyrics! Another listen or two and I might figure out what it is you're trying to say....hmm, time well spent, I'm goin' for it! Got my vote.
Great vibe after the intro dude. Think the latinesque intro took too long getting to the meat imho. Vocal is sweet but maybe a little less reverb and a tad louder (being picky now)!!!! I likes the guitar solo esp the upwards semi's givin it a really nice edge and making this listener reach for the guitar. Yeah nice solo and nicely intertwined with the sax stabs. Reminded of some steely dan solo guitar goin back more years than i care to remember or probably can. No crits on bass and drums dude. Thumzup
This is a bit special - love the unexpected intro and then the sax before that reggae beat takes hold. Vocals perfect for this style. Lovely arrangement and the mix is just right. You've just transported me to a beach bar on a Carribean Island - thankyou - mines a Coco Loco. Thumbs up!
Hi Pete! Thanks for stopping by and glad I returned the favour. A very commercial sounding track. Your vocals are tight and distinctive.Love the whole production. Take Care Andy :)
I can be quite partial to a little reggae, and this hits that particular spot in my ears!! Excellent production, everything where it should be!!! Very pro indeed!! Reminds me of the eighties and ska, now that was an era!!! Superb work!!!!! Barry
Pete Romanowski, aka Europica is a bass player from the UK who started to play at the age of 24. His first band was a rock outfit called Motorboat who played their original songs around Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire and Bedfordshire in the 80's. This lead to them to being plugged by the late great John Peel. Compared with the Pink Fairies one of their many gigs involved raising money to help out a mate who was a hunt saboteur, who had got arrested at a fox hunt, taken to court and fined for breaking the peace. So they did a benefit gig to help raise some money so the fine could be paid. Such was the spirit of this band who also did benefits for Amnesty International. In the 90's Pete was invited to join three bands. "Handy", "The Nightshift" and "Chicken Inspectors", (the latter name taken from a Daffy Duck cartoon). They gained local media exposure, in the press and on Radio. Their highlight was playing the Bedfordshire Millennium Festival in the beautiful grounds of Shuttleworth House which was the biggest event of any kind to be held in the County. They also did some benefit gigs for local charities. Pete's favourite gig with this band however was in a tiny pub with a highly charged atmosphere on St Patricks night. To be sure to be sure. Here Pete showcases all of his compositions, ranging from World to Classical to Jazz, Reggae, Dub, and EDM (Electronic Dance Music). There are some collaborations here too. So check out the credits on the page to see who else is involved and it's highly recommended that you google their names to find their outstanding music. The collabs on this page were started off with Pete's ideas, recording the basslines, writing the lyrics and maybe a few other things and then inviting others to bring their own personal creativity to complete the songs. Most of the Reggae and all of the Trance tunes are Europica's solo works. Enjoy the music here and if you'd like to comment or become friends then please feel free to do so or just say a simple "hello". Many thanks!
