I had another listen today and wondered if you had changed the mix. I can hear Mary's voice much better for some reason. I like the orchestration in this mix. Very nice track! Mary :-)

I can't listen to this song without losing all control of my tears. Dealing with self-injury and an eating disorder, I dream every second of that freedom that seems so elusive. The girl's voice is hauntingly similar to my own, including the lack in power compared to the accompaniment that others have commented on. However, I think that the "imperfections" of that sort make the lyrics all the more important, and the feelings that the singer does express all the more "real," as opposed to it being "just another pretty song." Beautiful, full of hope, and realistic.

I feel this track suites Mary's voice quite well. In honesty, the lyrics and music were well written. I still feel Mary's voice should come out more especially when the guitar was introduced..it seems the level was louder than the piano. I wouldn't pan Mary's voice left to right, vise versa but add a slight reverb and/or surround effect. The string arrangement is good but I feel that towards the ending an orchestrative effect would give rise to the track. More or less a cresendo effect or build of the song if you know what I mean? I like how you tone down the instrumentation so in the verse to give contrast and so Mary's vocals could show dynamics. I always feel that in order to let the audience hear the dynamics and emotion of a song come through, the vocalist's voice should be clear enough to grab the audience. If the mix is too loud while she is singing, it takes away the emotional feel of the track. Make sense? If I appear critical I appologize. The comments are made only as an opinion but also a tool for learning. Nice one!

Lovely melodies - melancholy, hopeful and beautiful at the same time. You write and sing great songs.

Very touching song, the lyrics are great. Thanks for singing about something that touches more of us
than people think.

I agree, great concept, however needs a little more impact arrangement wise. I would rec. some sustained strings, and definately a little more brightening on the vocals. Also, please center the vocals, or variate the vocals from one side to the other. The panning is distracting because the vocals do not blend as well, as if they were centered. Don't mean to be too critical, but this song is top notch. I would just like to see it with the finishing touches. 8/10

great idea...really reaches out to people who are victim of self abuse..very nice melody...i can hear the sound of a large orchestra supporting your vocals...this has far to go interms of production but the song is really excellent..so i give it a 9!
