No I Can't
You have talent
C'Jaay ThaPrince was born in the center of the entertainment capitol of the world, so he was destined to be in the spotlight. Full of personality and drive he continues to push his intense flow through the underground scene. C'Jaay began his career in 2010 at the age of 10.
While his dad discouraged him from singing, his mother encouraged him to be whatever he wanted to be. He says that's when he unleashed the inspiration he kept bottled up from his then rapper mom & her boyfriend. He began recording track after track in his closet, until he stumbled upon one he knew had to be recorded in a quality studio. In 2014 C'Jaay performed that same song & was the winner of his first live performance/talent show, "Apollo In The Desert".
He's since collaborated with a handful of local artists, performed at many events & continued to perfect his music.
"I wasn't homeless or nothing, but I didn't come from too much so I rap about nice things that I'm gonna make sure I have & I want people to witness the finished product of my struggle. Plus I want my queen to reap the benefit of my appreciation of her continuous hard work & support." -C'Jaay ThaPrince.
Man, I love music so much. It's my outlet, my passion, my way to connect with kids my age and more. I like to write down my thoughts & turn them into songs. I really enjoy telling my bio so that people can the product of my environment. I never really had much and still don't, but I got my siblings and momager that's my biggest support system. My momma had me when she was 15 and always did her best without looking for handouts and I owe it to her to make things easier. Man my momma even gave up her rap career that I know she really wanted, just to focus on mine. Right now I'm trying to build my brand, so I'm recording and doing as many shows to get my music heard while trying to keep my grades up in school. It's a struggle, but real important to me that I graduate.
In 2015-2016 I was doing a lot of things I knew my momma didn't approve of and almost got caught up. But she was right there through all that I put her through, trying to keep me focused and telling me to get my education and follow my dream. I was disappointed in myself because I let a lot of people down. But I'm back on track, I'm developing and im ready to be the first in my city to make it with this rapping.
