We just played a gig few nights ago with some really cool, excellent people playing, and no one, not a single of us got any payment for what we did. It's a "you play we don't pay" policy.
And we have the rights 2 get paid as anybody else, or else we're the free labour, don't they call it so? The point is – we seem 2 be more concerned about cheap labour elsewhere than about what's going on here and now.
I think we could support ourselves and start a pofit share gig series: "All profit goes 2 the bands". Who's up for that?
It's a serious call, so please get in touch – equal share would go 2 every musician (promoters and sound engineers qualify as musicians in this case)!
Spread a word as well please!
We love the different ones - here comes King of da World!
(Saturday, April 14, 2007)
The Quirky loves those who step out, and so we wrote a praising song for our favourites - King of da World.
The inspiration came last autumn while visiting Latvia - there lives a tall big man, who roams around talking to people...
He's indeed known (don't remember who invented it - he himself, his audience or journalists) as King of the World, and he acts like one as well, waving his huge walking and being dressed in vintage robes with a big belt...
That's what we call personal freedom.
Keep being free, out of money, out of time, out of worry!
We gonna keep recording acoustic album
