The world of hip hop has made a dramatic change. For the better or for
the worse? No one knows. But it has lost the hard, rugged, raw street
attitude that put hip hop on the map. More of the fantasy,
booty/jewel/automobile worship and less of the anger and darkness that
made hip hop part of the music scene. Enter Vicious Dogg, better known
as V Dogg. V Dogg is here to bring back the in-your-face,
I-Don't-Give-A-Darn hip hop attitude. He does throw in some of today's
commercial appeal, but to a lesser extent. V Dogg's raw and real lyrics
instantly grab by the throat and don't let go until the song is over. V
Dogg's instrumentals are just as haunting and angry as the man himself
is. He is V Dogg. Old school flow, new school attitude.
At twenty three years of age, V Dogg is an experienced
rapper/producer/songwriter. He has been in the music scene for eleven
years and counting. He threatened to quit one time but music would not
let go of him. And now he is back at it with one purpose: to let the
world know just who he is. V Dogg is no stranger to hip hop. He is one
of the most sought after names in hip hop. He has been on official
charts three times on MP3Unsigned and was even chosen as the Featured
Artist of the Week there. V Dogg's legacy in hip hop started with a
talent show back in the 7th grade that he placed second in and won
fifty dollars. It went on to albums he made for himself, performing at
parties, online collaborations, and ultimately bigger, better shows.
His biggest accomplishment to date is the fact that he was chosen as
Studio 231's Champion of the Open Mic for his hit song "Wiggle 'N'
Jiggle".
Back then, he was just cheesy, simple, and kiddie sounding. But now he
feels that he is ready. His very first public CD release, entitled
"The Merciless Heat Mixtape: Volume One", was released on April 17th,
2007. Expect to hear more from V Dogg, hip hop's newest star.
