In early 2004, 4 lads got together to form the core of a band now known as, The Straitjackets, with Jimmy on vocals and guitar, Lee on lead guitar, Danny on bass and Jack on drums. After some fill-in drummers The Straitjackets found the perfect addition, and thus, Lee joined on drums at the end of 2004. Playing gigs to enthusiastic punks since mid 2004, along with support slots with The Vibrators, The Meteors and Demented are Go; The Straitjackets have aquired a fanbase, which hopefully will continue to grow. Since recording their first independant EP, 'Death In The City' in early 2006, it has recieved positive reviews in fanzines and on the internet. With mixed influences consisting of The Clash; Gun Club; Dead Kennedys; The Cramps; MDC; Demented Are Go, to name a few, The Straitjackets have managed to create their own mixture of punk and rockabilly. Since The Straitjackets have emerged onto the North West punk scene in 2004, it seems as though everyone is now taking notice, and that's how they plan on keeping it.
