Through a combination of music, theatre, and spoken word, The Mean-Nothings spawned a series of performances known as The Urbanite Monologue. Written as a cri ecrit, this one-act performance piece is best described as an existential tale of a writer living amidst the noise and chaos of a developing metropolis. David Hayes could be considered somewhat of a Renaissance man. His interests in the arts and learning are exhibited by a wide range of talents, from strumming the guitar to live theatre and drawing comics.

Hayes recently returned to Panama City, FL after touring the west Coast and Europe with his acoustic band Mean-Nothings. He said his primary goal is to help the local arts scene in any way possible.

"I would like to break some barriers down here,” he said. “I feel like there’s a good community here that just needs to come together more and make things happen.”
