Review: By Paul Lee/Moon Rock Magazine. Having spent their early career building a massive local following then having a break, the Giants return with a sense of renewed vigour. The Giants vision is fully realised by four musicians constantly challenging themselves, and sometimes each other. From the pounding bass line on 'Time to Kill' to the almost psychadelic jazz of 'Space Cakes'. The result is an intimate portrait of a band that truly will be giants. Further releases will be appearing in the coming months. Giants of Future Tradition came about after 'forming member' [Tam Mac-lead guitar] met 'Bongo' [the drummer] at a UFO spotters convention. Tam was so impressed with Bongos alien drumming, that he asked him to join a band that he was putting together. Brad [bass] passed an audition of 219 bass players to win his place with the Giants, but almost didn't get the job because The mystery [lead vocals] thought he was too good looking. The mystery became involved when Tam heard him singing in a karaoke bar. Even though he was extremely drunk, Tam said "after I saw him headbutting the TV monitor I knew he'd make a great front man". And so the Giants were formed.
