Beyond Our Universe
I dig the title! This sounds very Metalocalypse. The guitar work is extraordinary! DAMN! This is professional kick ass work! I REALLY dig those hypnotizing guitars that end the track too! Again, DAMN!!! Deserves WAY more votes that it has, especially with all of those downloads. But who really cares about that - I'd rather fill my head with this sound, so I'm cranking it!!!!
Superhuman is right! Those fingers are on fire!
I'm in awe!!!
Gets a NOM & R8 simply for making me forget I have 2 smokes lit!!!!!!
I can't believe this has gotten so few comments' this is the best tarck here@!!! I have 2 cigarttes lit!
Ripper Dave! Love the sweeping and your tones are so wicked! I'm hearing a lil Ziras work there. Smooth and punctuated. R8 all day long!
i really like this one. it's chunky and heavy. it's got drive. and the lead guitar is top notch as usual.
This Rocks so very much!..rated - PhosforescentFog-
This is my favourite of your tracks dude. Rated
A lesson in how to play arpeggios. I only wish my mate Billy could play like that!
Love that perfectly executed sweeping arpeggio to get thangs rollin! Satch, Vai, Yngwie got nuttin on ya! Rated! I've been listening to this for months. I guess I assumed you were gone from here. I drove from Louisiana to Kentucky and back and played your stuff before I left, on the way up, while there (for friends) and coming back. Rated!
Fantastic! Some serious guitar wizardry on display here. I loved the song structure and your abilities are top class. Production is good too, looking forward to hearing the finished piece. Love the title too!!!!
Saw you on the Dark Dreams Site and I was curious,,, WOW,, YOU ARE SENSATIONAL!
A clean "sweep"... keep shredding the good stuff.
check out my stuff if you likie guitar driven rock
this is pretty bloody good. I must admit I'm not a metal fan but I really enjoyed that....good job
very good use of thye harmonic minor and sweeps are nice and clean..
Impressive to say the least...
The mix is still real good and the arrangement is clever with a few tempo shifts and the overdubs towards the 3/4 mark are very enjoyalbe...
liked its strength and yeap vocals will be great but it is saying a lot even by itself.. and yeap quality guitar licks.. Dublin, ah? how is our fair city?
some quality guitar lick's and i love the double kick this is a monster of a track,i agree with the fnal mix it does need a bit of work but not much \m/ \m/
Not my genre, but I like what you are doing. You have good guitar work going, and a good structure to the song. I sense a late 80s early 90s metal influence in there. Good track overall, kept me listening. ONAGER.
Ok, here's the new version. All of the mistakes of the original demo have been ironed out PLUS I chenged the arrangement. Actually wrote the last solo and melody in the studio after deciding to add a new ending. Anyway, please leave some feedback and votes.
Ne Deibu, ....surei kedo saigo wa chotto okashii kana... Fury dakara? ;)
Otherwise very impressive indeed.
This is a very cool track. Although not finished (in Dave's words), it is shaping up to be a classic. I am priveleged to have witnessed the evolution of this tune from "Survivor" (while in it's infancy as a Nexus thrash metal song), through to Dave's "First Contact", to it's present incarnation as the far more polished "Beyond our Universe". Can't wait to hear the final product! 10 out of 10!

Superhuman comprises one damaged Irish guitarist and random collections of notes composed during various bouts of madness. Some tracks are obviously influenced by vastly greater players I grew up listening to but I've been trying to forge my own style which is becoming more evident in my later tracks. If anyone ever wants to collaborate on anything I'm always interested. If you like any of my tracks please leave a comment, a rate and a facebook like!
Working on a collab with Kelly Mitchell at the moment over a backing created by Torquestra. It's a neoclassical piece which sounds very cool. Have yet to add my parts but am very impressed by what Kelly has put together so far.
When Dave “Superhuman” Kelly asked me to write this review, I think I knew instinctively that it was likely to be one of my more meandering efforts and that has indeed proved to be the case.
You have been warned!
So let me now try and explain why that should be the case.
There can’t be too many people with access to a TV or the internet who haven’t yet seen the film of when Susan Boyle walked
It used to be that world class shredders (Ed: fast guitarists) were a rare event but these days I'm always tripping over them. That's not to say that I actually LIKE the shredding side of metal because I'm not so sure I do. Too much of a 'look-at-me-going-as-fast-as-I-can' playground thing attached to it if ya ask me. The shreds the thing, not the tune that underlies it. Mi
Was just floating by and discovered this artist, Thank the stars i did, malmsteen kinda topped off this style and I remember thinking fuck how can anyone top this guy........? rhandy Rodes whoa. So bearing in mind my above hero's and influences, Ive found this guy, fret work outstanding, composition unflawed, melodic composition top hole, Im gonna be following this guy closely an
God, I wish I were. Superhuman, that is. I find out later that Dave Kelly (aka the aforementioned alpha human) is merely superhuman, he's Irish too. Which, of course, amounts to pretty much the same thing in my book. Now then, if you are wondering whether I am dragging the Blarney Stone around with me to curry favour with advanced beings, think again. I'm merely going
Next up is a track from Superhuman called "Hellucination" another hard rocking guitar instrumental. All this shreddage is doing wonders for my rock cred on the site so bring it on lol :) Looking at Dave's bio on his page, seems he is a self taught taught guitarist who plays by ear and plays everything on this track. I've noticed from previous tracks of his I have listened to he has a very god work
As soon as you hit the play button, you very quickly realise that this guy can certainly play the guitar well! As a metal fan during my teens (and still, to a degree), I've come to appreciate a well-played solo! This one last for almost three minutes, and it's this solo that forms the entire basis for the track! While there's no doubt that the solo is both complex and brilliant, some may find it h
This is my first ever review, and I chose a simpler song by Superhuman instead of one of his masterpieces, so already you could surmise that I feel unequal to the task of reviewing a powerhouse guitarist.
But still, I think an objective opinion can be made, on the basis of music-is-to-be -enjoyed, and I'll approach this from my own perspective towards music.
The "Angels" are Superhuman's little
To day I will be reviewing one of the superstars of mp3unsigned SUPERHUMAN(Dave). I asked him to tell me about his background, the following is his reply: I am 100% self thaught, I learned to play the guitar by visualising patterns on the fretboard, to be honest I have a tough time remembering the names of the strings, musical theory escapes me but I learned by listening to greate
songwriting - I like the structure of this song, it loses my interest a couple of times for a brief moment, but then pulls me back with an interesting change, the way the drums roll back and forth from on the beat to off is particularly interesting, I hate doing that myself, but it does work in a track like this. I did find however that at the beginning of the track the drums were a little out of
My overall feeling about this track was pretty good. Dave is a good guitar technician. Dave's sound quality is excellent, and the recoding quality is also excellent. I liked the War of Worlds spoken overdubs. The song is about 6 minutes long. probably too long for average commercial appeal. however, for other guitar players and maybe even a movie score the length would be fine as it is. I wou
