The Pocket Gods are the brainchild of eccentric singer songwriter Mark C Lee.....in an absinthe haze he creates weirdly original indie pop toons. "Do you know the way to San Jose or do we go gentle into that good night?" Mark Christopher Lee writes plays and sings all the tracks which are recorded in his groovy kitchen situated in the Vale of Nub Country...somewhere in the North of our existence. Influenced by luminaries as Syd Barrett, Mark E Smith, Sexton Ming and Frank Worthington... also a big fan of homemade absinthe...and lime green jelly. Has had excellent reviews in Record Collector, BANG, and Future Music magazines, and has done several live sessions for BBC Radio. Check out new songs on the “green fairy tales” cd and recent rave review on the BBC http://www.bbc.co.uk/bradford/music/doktor/dok2.shtml
