Very nice! This is as warm as I've ever heard "electronica" get, and I'm liking it very much. That clean piano against the trippy accompaniment worked well, and the vocals are simply stellar. Fantastic mix, when Carol started laughing I felt she was in the room with me!

Nice collab - I think the beat works out nicely and the piano sounds carries the tune along. Carol-Sue - what can i say - angels calling - more like Angel singing ;-) - I like this. congrats on #1 to you both.

Vocals and instrumental fit really well together here, nice to hear your voice on some electronica Carol, and sound very good too! You've done a good job too, all produced nicely. Its got a simple and laid back feel to it, but think it works well like this, well done you two! :) (mirala)

Amazed, don't know how u placed country vocals in an electronia track. great track, rated!
Comment by Redshirt Theory  on 31 March 2007   View Artist Page
it was only a matter of time before carol got her nice vocal stylings on an electric tune.. Her vocals fit well for the 80's vibe, and i got to say destri the instrumental is very very good. rated and enjoyed
Comment by billyfogg  on 31 March 2007   View Artist Page
This is surprisingly good, I wasn't sure how Country and Electronica would mix, but mix it certainly does. The music is very tuneful and soothing overall, except forv the scratchy effect around 3-4 mins in. The vocals are great of course, but the double tracking needs tightening up a bit, or how about some harmonies? Fab collab -rated :)
Comment by Jennifer Rafferty  on 31 March 2007   View Artist Page

Really enjoyable track you two. Beat has a real 80's feel to it and Carol's vocals really fit the vibe. Paul's production is really smooth, and whilst it is maybe not the usual genre I would listen to I can't think of a single bad thing to say about it! So I won't. So there.... Well done :-)

I like it. Enjoyed the vocals and the lyrics, excellently verberated creating a dreamy atmosphere along with the music. NIce mix, thought the drums sounds sort of "midi-ish". No biggy, I like it. It's a "nice" track. Rated.

beautiful work. The track sounds awesome and compliements the vox (or visa versa) and production is spot on. Vocals are quality and really finish the track off. love it, rated.
Comment by Mark Ellis  on 26 March 2007   View Artist Page
Well now this is rather nice ain't it? The backing is really well constructed, like the el piano, personally I am not a lover of the drum sound, but that is really my own preference, and that doesn't (even for me) detract from the fact that I think this a quaLity song, nice melody, well sung by Carol, and all round a very nice and enjoyble listen.. very well done to you both,FAB!

Honestly i think you have done a great job on Carols voice very well handled and all level are spot on! Some nice synth work around 2.30 and is it just me or do you get shivvers when Carols say "shine on"? lol Hah cheeky little laugh! lol Just noticed there is a great underscore from the piano that sits beautifully in the background on this track too! Well its over now and it seemed to fly past so fast! Anyways top track again Paul and with Carols vocals this is a winner in my book! Best of luck with it you two! Marty

Quality music and production as always from you!....those synths sound so nice and rich. Has a kind of 80's feel, but the beat makes it very contemporary at the same time. Excellent vocals from Carol too, really do fit well, with that dreamy style. Ties in very well the title! Excellent collab you 2!....Mark:)
Comment by final strike  on 19 May 2007   View Artist Page
Destri, your production always sounds quality dude! Backing music to the vocals works well, not too much going on and so it sits nicely behind the vocals not overpowering. Different song for your vocals Carol, the singing parts from you are excellent on this one, like a lot. Sounds a lil bit like Goldfrapp with the backing :p I'm not keen on the intro vocals and when they repeat later tho. Other than these parts the song works really well and enjoyed very much. well done you 2 :P
Comment by mantrasolo  on 15 May 2007   View Artist Page
Like the 80's feel of this one. Pretty dancy and it gets my vote. Also liked the echo and reverb on the voice, well mixed.

Hi X Destri & Carol just dropped in to leave some comments I really liked this track had a nice old skool house feel to it. Agree with MixWix about the verbed clap didnt like it at first but after a while it just makes sence. The day dream chorus is very dreamy loved it and the gear change when the vocals are slightly echoed is fantastic work voted : )
Comment by DaveRave  on 13 May 2007   View Artist Page
Excellento - more like this please. Carol-Suie can sing anything!! Ace music too. A big thumbs-up.
Comment by DJ MixWix  on 13 May 2007   View Artist Page
wow luvin this, upbeat and all faster than ur usual. The vocals of carol fit the track really nicely. Luv the trance elements in this one. That arp/gated synth is so nice. I luv it when carol say's "daydream" at first i thought the clap could be better but it really does suit the track. The drums and bass line fit the track really well. FX's here and there all really cool adds to the track. Wow what a change up, both in the instrumental an vocal. Enjoyed the listen! Rated! Matt
Comment by gete  on 13 May 2007   View Artist Page
complete vocal contrast (im only after listening 2 this old house)great trance track on its own the vocals lift it to another level, top work

Right on Paul and Carol Sue, ya know now that Ricky mentions it. I can hear a little Blondie also in the vocals. Great track you two. R&R
Comment by David Joel Carter  on 11 May 2007   View Artist Page
Another superb collab! Once again I'm impressed with Carol Sue's vocal versatility in combination with Paul's lyrical and production skills. This definitely takes me back to the early eighties...thanks for the trip!...rated...
Comment by steve eyre  on 11 May 2007   View Artist Page
mmm nice chunky bottom end, superb in its minimilistic wide bass kinda way. the vocals work well in most places. you guys have found your niche here without a doubt.
Comment by MD-1 Project  on 11 May 2007   View Artist Page
very cool guys...paul you got that 80s sound down to a t m8....simply love the backing track....love the bubbly bass & the breakdowns are seriously good....the vocals remind me of a few people...yazzo blondie and even a little republica...another fine offering...you 2 make a great team... been calling back to this track all week....already rated... just needed a few plays to let it settle... look forwards to the next one
Comment by Essence  on 11 May 2007   View Artist Page
Good to hear new angles from you Carol and I enjoy the track overall :) Vocals sound fine and softly treated with fx's. Def 80's vibes there. I like the arrangment and breakdowns. It's well organised/structured with the different vocal parts (which do change in tone but I like that as it relates to harder /softer parts of the music). Cool track you two :) Hugs xx
Comment by FXMAN  on 09 May 2007   View Artist Page
there a few to compere this with.. blondie.. yazoo.. ect.. love the arping bubbly bass m8.. sound like styrus even tho it aint .. love the lyrics and vocals .. bring bk the 80.s !!! well done both paul and carol.. rated!!
Comment by BeeStrang  on 08 May 2007   View Artist Page
I like this track.. the music is well done and trancy, and if those thangs are called "arps" (m4rt3z) then I like arps! lol The lyrics are meaningfull, and heartfelt. and vocal delivery is nice. I would agree with pruneau about the very begining of the tune, in my oppinion a slight drop in level and some effects would lead nicely into the rest of the daydreamy track! I'm an effects fanatic though.. :P
Comment by Jennifer Rafferty  on 08 May 2007   View Artist Page
Could of sworn I'd stopped here! obviously I hadn't! you know what i think would be fab.. if the vocals on the first verse, had somekind of fx on them... i dunno like a 'radio' sound or something!! doesn't take away from what a great track this is!!! i think although some have said it has an 80's vibe,, i really do think it's VERY modern!! and Carol's voice really goes well with your music Paul! couldn't help but sit here and groove along!! x
Comment by ANDYF  on 08 May 2007   View Artist Page
Again showing the versatility of Carol Sue's range.Paul's musical arrangement very 80s vibe to it.Could be Human League esque. All round a nice track from the both of you. rated of course. Andy:)
Comment by Mark Ellis  on 08 May 2007   View Artist Page
Well this is great isnt it... excellent backing, nice rythm, yes got a sort of 80's feel to it, vocs certainly do blend nice in the mix as the song progresses.. technically I cant fault the music , and as always fine production, Carols vocals are great, I enjoyed this and the hi hats are fab! ;-) Nice one my friends !!!!
Comment by m4rt3z  on 07 May 2007   View Artist Page
Oh love the tracney feel after intro! Is it just me or does Carol sound sorta English? lol REally great sounding in thi stho Carol! Liking the hats pattern nice and skippy or something! lol Stupid i know but i like em! :) Nice little backing arp keep the groove solid. You kno the track really suits the vocals because the track is quite dream like and with Carol singing Daydream then it fits perfectly! heheh Love that Glissando type arp that comes in again (The one in the intro). Well the synth Meistro does it again and teaming up with Carol again you just know its gonna be good! Good production and a solid structure makes this track very enjoyable! My only crit would be that the timing on the vocals is a little bit outta time but appart from that i enjoyed the track alot!!! Best of luck w ith it you two! Marty
Comment by stonedog  on 07 May 2007   View Artist Page
Really enjoyable number with a real 80's vibe (reminded me of Yazoo a bit although with a fuller sound). Have to say I reckon Pruneau is spot on about the vox, but another surefire hit I reckon. Nice one you two!
Comment by Pruneau  on 07 May 2007   View Artist Page
I liked this one. Good beat, very nice rhythmic development, and the track gets your attention going from the outset. One remark: The vocals in the beginning sound a bit too determined for this kind of music, the dreamy tone that Carol adapts later on like in the daydream chorus works a lot better. In later verses Carol sings a bit more delicate. Don't get me wrong, I like the vocals, they're just a bit strong in places for the rather relaxed, bobbing backtrack. Not a matter of volume, in my opinion, more a matter of style. The track works well though, I'd suggest more vocal layers, and softer, to get a dreamier effect. if it is the trancey thing you are going for.
Comment by foonk  on 07 May 2007   View Artist Page

Great retro song this......really like the backtrack......I think the vocals are a bit high in the mix but they are performed well especially in the softer verses.....I'd say this is worth re-recording with more backing vocals and then mastering it. Yes a good song! Kevin Mooney

Gets better every time I listen to this. Love that bass and the electric piano. This has a very American Hip Hop feel, a little like one of LL Cool J's tracks. I had a damn good right to rate this track for the pure quality you have both presented here. That track is Awesome with a capital AWE. Lovin it Guys. Well done Paul & Carol-Sue for this track and chart position. Barry

Good solid track with plenty to keep the old toe tapping, enhanced by the vocals which compliment it perfectly.
Comment by Black Wookie  on 29 April 2007   View Artist Page
I sometimes know how the rabbit in Alice In Wonderland feels.....Late as ever for these things. Anyway, the song beckons........ And beckons in an extremely suggestive manner indeed! To say that this track has hormonal overload is an understatement (makes me remember meeting my gf for the first time.....aye!), but somehow Carol Sue manages to take it the extra few feet over into real sensation. Having read the lyrics, I can only conclude that Carol Sue has a VERY lucky husband indeed......;-P What at first appears to be a "lounge" kind of song quickly disabuses me of that notion as it literally walks in, strips slowly to the bear teasing minimum and then laughing walks away. It leaves you feeling that if only you had been quicker and less spellbound, you could have done something about the resulting emotions. O well! At least you had the presence of mind to film it on the camera phone for later inspection......rated!

great drum work and those pads are really kewl. now that im further into the track, it feels like the opening bass cuz have been a tad louder (like it is round 3:00) or was that intentional? 2:20, great drum work and straight back into it :D. class from carol sue with her vox performance. very kewl you two!

First off theres those sweet shuffled drums you know i love! hehe and wow sassy vocals! Could these vocals fit any better? The vocals as i said before have a sassy feel to them you know kinda jazzy and funky and i think the go incredibly well because of the jazzy/funky bassline! Now Paul you know i love your track and now that you have kinda teamed up with Carol putting her vocals ontop of your track its really starting to take these trax to a whole new level bud! Ok in 2 words "Loved It"! Plain and simple as that! Best of luck with it you two! Marty

A new side to Carol Sue's vocals, and very interesting. I can relate to this, a very honest cool song. Enjoyed. The percussion sounds a little bit too thin for my liking, I would try to make it "fatter".

Carol - wut a sexy track and lyrics. Nice voice u have, makin me feel naughty here. Now onto Paul - u got sum sick beats goin on, u went kinda old style here i think. The intro drums are sweet, actually all drum rythems are nice with nice selection of drums. Synth selection is really suited with the vocal. keep em trax comin. Matt

Lovely vocals...warm and sexy and well delivered...beats are a tad subdued in places and the snare sounds kinda splashy but the tune compliments the vocals nicely...personally i'd up the delay on some of the pads but then again what do i know? sweet voice xx

I love it - Well done you two. Really cool listen :) My only niggle if I am going to critique this fairly is I struggle to hear the spoken parts...but all the other vox are SWEET!! Nice subtle reverbs/echoes in places. Sound cool :) I love this track...very Chill, Chilled Lounge Radio 1 stuff actually !! ;p lol....Carol - have you been listening to my Dirty House track...? Another Electronic music fan here, The Rythmn is nice, very good Intro.

Being primarily a fan of electronic music, I was delighted to see you take your abundant talents into this realm. It's a superb song! You bring your heartfelt yearning trademark sound from your other styles of work and stamp it onto a new sound here which is by turns, moody, sad, hopeful, creepy and beautiful. Thank you for branching out here and thank you for your inspirational encouragement on my work as well. ~Brian~

Like bluntman I had this up a little too loud to start with so that the thunder scared me...erm...senseless. And the whimpering vocals were pretty creepy too (I'm a sensitive soul...). Still, I've listened to this a couple of times now and I really like it, but I kind of expected it to continue to build a bit more as it progressed perhaps by taking the vocals up a notch (or an octave even) later on. On second thoughts it might kill the chilled out mood a bit... Really tasteful backing track to Paul's usual high standard, and I've been trying to figure out who Carol's voice reminds me of for ages now. The closest I can get is the girl from Heart (Ann Wilson?) when you sing the deeper notes... Anyway, before this becomes a Martyesque essay (too late) I'll clear off... :-) Nice one!

Havent been around this week due to work, so first off appologies for getting here so late! :) Ok now to the track! Haunting vocals and that little arp is sooo sinister sounding. Kinda retro like an 80s ballad, now lets see if the thunderous drums comes in with a big hair snare! LOL Ok nice laid back but very effective drum pattern, i dunno what it is about the background arp but its very catchy?! lol As always Carol pulls off an amazing performance, not only in singing but in the quality of recording! This track is kinda dream like or is that just me? lol loved the cheeky outro to the track! hahah It was kinda freaky at the end but it was rather fgood too! Was that the reveerse reverb thinggy then? Dosent really matter what it was because its a damn great job! But ive come to terms that theres is no crits i could you Paul because o every track you have all the crit-able elements ironed out to make a pro track thats just great to sit back and listen to! Anyways i dunno if you got this by reading all that i wrote but THIS TRACK IS FUKING SWEET!!! lol Best of luck with it you 2 but i doubt you need it! :) marty

Back from my holiday and have some serious catching up to do! So I thought I would start off with CS and Paul. Very interesting as Mark says. Keeps drawing you in to find out what comes next!I was not disappointed this is very trippy as Andy says. A chilled backing form you Paul and a well worked collab.well done both! TAke CAre Andy :)

Mmm now isn't this an interesting tune? Firstly the vocals are really nice, I like the way you have performed this Carol, the backing is quality, as I would expect from Destri, moves from the intro into a realy nice rythm, with a fab flow that just rocks me gently, I really like this, got a nice melody that works really well with the backing, it's unusual, but also very accessible, I think it's a fab job, very well done to you both.Another fine collab, and deserving of all the button pushing it should get.

The thunder in the begining scared the hell out of me lol. Had my earphones up to loud. Anyway, im feeling this tune. It sounds like trip-hop to me, x destri beats always reminds me of the artists Massive Attack. Cool vocals carol, love how you start and end the song. Good job u two

Nice work guys! Semi-disturbing intro left me wondering what what coming up next. Feeling slightly unnerved by this I found it a great listen. To me, this comes across as a trippy 60's song but with a new millenium feel, if that makes sense. Well, well done! Enjoyed everything, specially the flow of the electronics. :)
Comment by David Joel Carter  on 09 April 2007   View Artist Page
Finally getting to hear electronica in a manner I can digest. The genre's always left me cold in the past, something slightly "inhuman" about it. The addition of Carol Sue's gutsy, poignant vocals adds a degree of warmth making the whole bit so much more palatable - I can eat this up! Great arrangement, and a superb performance, well done guys!
Comment by steve eyre  on 09 April 2007   View Artist Page
oooff! first few bars i wasnt sure then the drums kick in and the superb subtle acid line. I hear massive attack and tracy whatshername from everything but the girl...you two have a great musical cell growing here. rated!!

Comment by Moby  on 03 June 2007   View Artist Page
the production is both massive attack and mike oldfield at the same time, the vocals remind me of neneh cherry & lisa loeb in places, although I wish they were 'wetter'. the melody for me could be a little tighter, more hooks necessary to take this to the next level. just my 2 cents.
Comment by Mark Holley  on 01 June 2007   View Artist Page
agree with the Human League comparison... that's a compliment... I especially like the contrast beyween the minor and major sections... nice chord progressions and arrangement folks.... love that synth lead... is that a nord lead? Carol your vox are great here... everything sounds natural and in place and the mix is spot on... for this I leave my last nom for the week and a rate... BRAVO guys!
Comment by FXMAN  on 01 June 2007   View Artist Page
this is a bit like the human league imo.. love the drums/ synth choices real mellow and sweet bro.. great vocal yet again from you carol.. if this was bk in 80,s im sure you both would of made a massive fanbase.. cant think of much else to say really so i just gonna rate it. rated! peace out!

Its been up here for 2 days! How comes im only seeing it now?! lol Ok back to the tarck! Classic X Destri shuffled beats and sytnhwork is amazing as usual! Nice heavy moog like bassline throbbing! Sweet vocals form you Carol but thats not unusual! Very well recorded and very catchy too. Really liking the progression in this alot like when it goes from dark to light. Make sense? lol I like the way its like a rock track but it utilises synth instead of guitars. Kinda like a bouncy 80s track to me, very cool! Well what can i ssy? I kinda tripped out a little on that track and juct chilled listening to it. It has a very relxing flow to it and i actually caught myself day dreaming a few times! lol Seriously tho, very well recorded, produced and laidout! Best of luck with it you 2! Marty

Well for starters that bassline is well nice. The Rythmn however is even better... And of course yet again Carol you have shown more talent with your vocals... This Collab is very nice indeed. Well sung Obviously and a great produced track... Nice work.
Comment by steve eyre  on 30 May 2007   View Artist Page
Great backing track Paul, im really into your choice of notes..sounds geeky but they generally always hit the spot for me cause the chord changes give you that sense of hope and give me a floaty uplifting feeling. Carol is the right choise vocally cause she offsets this with quite soul bearing lyrics and raw emotion. What would top this off for me personally is harmonies in the chorus. great track i'm pushing the rate all the way ;-)
Comment by gete  on 30 May 2007   View Artist Page
it sounds like sort of layed back hip hop type music, the synth that come in at 2:43 are exellent and the 1 at 3:02,the vocals are very good like the way carrol emphasis's certain words like "SET"me free, sorry dont know tech terms, anyway it adds a lot to the track for me,great lyrics, another very nice tune:)
Comment by Mark Ellis  on 30 May 2007   View Artist Page
Another fine song from the collaborator of 2006, certainly seems to me that your getting the hang of this Carol, and of course Paul who has provided you with a rather excellent backing track which thumps along very nicely, with a fab rythm that has some great light and shade in that makes this a very interesting and enjoyable track....Vocals are fab too and they are improving all the time, it's a good song and I like this very much.. Very well done both of you...another hit I think!!!! and deserves to be.
