Shot Down Sun is a metal band from Haverhill, Ma determined to destroy your senses. Beginning in November of 2001 and evolving ever since, the band has created a diverse sound mixing various influences such as As I Lay Dying, A Life Once Lost, Opeth and The Agony Scene to name a few into a crushing mix of metal and hardcore. In 2004 the band released its highly acclaimed "Seven EP" which launched them to local star status. It's been two long years since the EP's release and with Myles Kimball taking ex-guitarist Jimmy Lantagne's spot and the addition of Ben Gostanian on guitar in early 2005, the band is light years from where it was. Recently signing a small label deal with Inner Evil Entertainment records, the band will be recording its new full length "The Human Design" in March with Matt Rhoades and Sean Sweeney of Vital Studios/And Then There Were None and releasing it in April.
