Onto a new batch of reviews from me, and the first one I'm reviewing is a collaboration involving Allan Bell (Geiger167) and Joseph Rodriguez (erm... Joseph Rodriguez)!
Joseph is definitely on guitars, and I'm pretty certain that Allan Bell is on vocals, but I'm not sure who or what provided the rest of the track! Either way, this is a lesson in classic rock through and through! I could say that the mix is a little on the dull side, but it sounds authentic that way, and a modernite like me would have made it lose its feel if I added any brightness to it! Mind you, it really does need to kick more, as the kickdrum is barely audible!
The lyrics and vocals (well... the entire track) invoke the classic rock period! The track is hardly deep and meaningful, but it doesn't need to be, as the performance from all involved is of the highest quality, and the structure is well thought out!
Overall, while I'm no expert in this type of rock, I can appreciate it for what it is... a ballsy, classic rock tune that puts the emphasis on fun!
Pizza Score: French Feast! Could do with a bit more spice, but still has the taste of a decent pizza!
