First time i've ever heard Raggy and I'm impressed. This track follows an interesting linear journey that varies from a lush pentatonic bed to and fro with an eastern minor feel mixed with some jazz for good measure. All of this coupled with an airy synth for backing and some cool south east asian drums make this is very unusual mix that works nicely. Reading the comment by Raggy I can see where he comes from and I think he has achieved in creating something that has his own stamp on it.

As far as the actual playing and technique goes he hits all the right notes and hits them in time. The actual music itself dictates the feeling put into the piece as does the punctuated off beat stacatto - something you don't hear very often as most guitarist can't pull it off. Raggy does so in large doese throughout the piece givng you that 'close the eyes and shake your head in that guitarist feeling the vibe' type feel. As a guitarist my only criticism on the performance would be the overly mild vibrato. There is vibrato throughout the piece allright but I feel that if Raggy turns the dial up on this one element of his technique this track would seriously burn. Then again, we are talking techinical preference here, tone and style are all in the ear of the beholder afterall.

Another personal preference would be some kind of very mild effect on the lead tone - either that or a slight shift in the tone (mic placement or microphone choce). If it was me, I would go for a hint reverb and a dash of delay to help give it that distant eastern-feel that is achieved nicely with the airy backing synth. Anyway, that is me just nit picking on something that I do genuinely like. Very glad to have found this artist and I recommend that if you havent already done so, check him out.
