Quarterpipe was formed 2003 in Sweden. They are playing Skatepunk with a little taste of alternative and indie. The guys in the band loves to eat ice-cream and to preform their music for many people. So this is a band you have to see live. It was Kristoffer and Jakob that started Quarterpipe. They wanted a band so Kristoffer asked Edward if he could play bas in the band. And thats the way it went. Now they were three, but it was hard to play all the songs with just one guitar, so one more guitaris was a good option. After a wile the guys find a pretty good guitarist "Alex" and he jumpt on the band. Why we are playing skatepunk is because everyone of us are big fans of another Swedish band "Millencolin". We are calling our music skatepunk because we like it...and it is pretty much "skatepunk" to...not all of it but most of it. We are living in Nyköping/Sweden. It is a small town in Sweden. Quarterpipe is the first skatepunk-band in Nyköping. Most of all bands in Nyköping is playing metal or something like it.
