Paul and James have been firm friends for 10 years and making music together for five. Persuasive are currently recording their third album of original material, self-written (with a handful of carefully chosen covers!), performed and produced. Their catalogue encompasses uplifting pop, trance & dance, and darker string-laden ballads.The first two albums "Waiting for the Future" and "Persuasive Music" have received great feedback and are available from the band's website. Persuasive also made their live debut this year on the main stage at Manchester's Pride which went down a storm for both band and audience.

Persuasive's live debut on the main stage at Manchester's 2005 Pride celebrations was a huge success. James & Paul were joined by Emma Lowe on backing vocals and a fantastic troupe of female dancers!The 3 song set started with electro-club favourite "Take It All Back", complete with a dramatic siren-heavy intro (check out the band's homepage for an abridged version)! Next up was the retro-disco "(Music's) Got Your Soul" from the band's first album, but with incredible added diva vocal ad-libs from Emma.The boys closed their set with a tranced-up re-working of Kylie's "I Believe In You". The verses were stripped to a deeply acidic bass-line while the choruses punched hard with full-on synths and rich string pads. The dancers performed a stunning syncopated routine to underline the group's performance! Pictures of the performance are on the band's site now!
