Nick Drozdoff is a seasoned professional trumpeter from the Chicago area. He has performed with everyone from Bob Newhart to Bill cosby to Sammy Davis, Junior to Dennis De Young of Styx to the Tempations, The Ojays, etc. In 1981, Drozdoff did three world tours with the Maynard Ferguson Orchestra. Since leaving Maynard's band, he settled in Chicago to embark on a free-lance career in the studios and show scene. Definition of freedom: "Freedom from hate, unconditionally... After completing his music masters in classical trumpet at Roosevelt University, Drozdoff re-directed his music career into a more creative mode. He has been writing and producing music in his own digital multi-track recording studio. Drozdoff is currently exploring the possibilities of extending his exposure as a recording artist and delving into using his music on film scores. Intruments Nick will perform on are, B-flat trumpet, C-trumpet, piccolo trumpet, bass trumpet, flugelhorn, and cornet. Nick is also seeking management and/or representation for shopping his work for film music libraries and to music supervisors.
Nick Drozdoff is available for clinics, concerts and lectures on trumpet technique, brasswind acoustics and musical acoustics. In addtion to being a professional musician in Chicago, Drozdoff is also a certified physics teacher with a bachelor of science in electrical engineering and a masters in physics teaching. Drozdoff would also like to pay special homage to his jazz instructors. First the legendary Rich Corpolongo, a protege of Joe Daley and one of the most amazing alto players in the world has been a source of great inspiration. Drozdoff's debt to Rich can never be truly repaid! Next, his piano teacher, Alan Swain, continues to help Nick in his efforts to compose with a sense of knowledge and harmonic undcerstanding. Alan is one of the worlds finest jazz piano instructors. Drozdoff's son is also a student of Alan's.
Drozdoff also provides and overdubbing service. If you have pre-existing tracks that require the addition of trumpet or horn parts, this can be accomplished by sharing the files on the internet or via CD's. The horn parts would be recorded on a Cakewalk/PC based system. The rates are reasonable and quoted on a per gig basis. Buyouts are acceptable under certain conditions.

Niock Drozdoff will be appearing with the Grand Avenue Big Band in a park concert in Oak Brook, Illinopis Central Park.This is open to the public.The performace will rin from 7:30 Pm to 9:00 PM on June 22, 2006.

Nick Drozdoff will be joining Chris Canzoneri's Traditional Jazz group for a specioal concert at the Gerogian in Evanston, Illinois.This band plays the music of Louis Armstrong, Nick Larocca, Bunny Berigan, etc. I.e., early jazz of the 20's and 30's.The performance will be on the evening of June 28, 2006.
