Niav is an Irish born singer/songwriter/producer currently living on the south coast of nsw in Australia . Portraying raw human emotion , lyrically and vocally , Niav's musical arrangements can be as simple as an acoustic guitar and vocal piece or as enormous as a production of many instrument layers and effects . Her singing has been described variously as haunting , emotional ,etheral , and unique ....the combination of opera training and growing up in Ireland's celtic musical atmosphere producing an unusual vocal flavour. A mother , published poet and electronic engineer , Niav is currently working on her debut album due for release in 2006.
