Rising High
Sadly, I had not known of Mary on this site. When I saw the post for the song, and read all the things about it, I couldn't resist! I'll comment while I listen as I always do... I like the piano and strings. They come together very beatufuly. !!! Wow. That voice!!! Very deep and peaceful. That is an awesome, determined voice. Tremendous power. Lots of emotion. Awesome job from her niece, Holly Bonin. The hats and snare are at the perfect pace of the music and hit at just the right times. This is amazing. I haven't been this revved up by a song on this site in a while. Very powerful entrance to the chorus. It was like a giant wall of energy rushed passed me. Then it gradually comes to a mellow beat. That was a great pause with her voice over that. Wow. *fixes himself up.* Wow, that was such a powerful song. I am definitely moved, amazed and astonished. Holy cow. The mix had a very vintage sound to it. Spot... On... Vintage. I've been listening to acid techno since the 80's and I know what vintage sounds like. The entire ensemble was a work of pure art and I haven't heard such a powerful production as that. I'm a married man. I cry. This song made me cry. Thank you so much for posting this song on here and giving me a chance to comment on a legend worthy song.
Fabulous tribute! Very moving piece of music!
I too find this an eerie experience and hope this can climb the charts this week and give it the tribute it deserves..... Bye Mary Andy :)
This is just a wonderful Tribute, And very touching. Has the old eyes flowing. Vin
Mary we will always remember you. This is a wonderful tribute to a warm and vital person who was very special to MP3 Unsigned. A very fitting tribute - if a bit eerie to hear Mary again (in the background vocal) and her echoes in Holly's very beautiful singing. Congratulations to all for your fine efforts.
This song has me in tears, it's very moving. My condolences on your loss, buddy.
sent goosebumps down my back. nuff said
I am tears listening to this for variuos reasons.I had the pleasure of "Knowing" Mary here on Mp3 and she really was a caring person. This tribute is fantastic and Holly has done a tremendous job on the vocals. It has the makings of a very big commercial song . Well done to all concerned.Rated and deffo nominated
Mary, I've been thinking of you lately. I gave my Mom a CD with all my best finished songs on it, and just asked her to rate the songs in order of her liking. Her #1 song was OTHER PEOPLE, due in no small part to your great vocals. And my Dad plays that song about 3 times per day. It is first on his MAC playlist. Take care, talk to you soon. Dean
I didn't have the pleasure of knowing Mary but I do have the honour in listening to her legacy... In reading this page of her tragic death put me in tears. I did not know. I am sorry. The story of this song is so very touching. Gina & Dean's lyrics are beautiful and her niece Holly sings this so pretty. Bless you all
"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness." Emily Dickinson I'm strolling through your garden of music, listening to the beautiful tributes. You are loved and truly missed Mary! Susan xo @-}--

Mary passed away on 23 February 2006.
She left behind her a beautiful catalogue of music that you can view via the link at the bottom of this page, and a community that is deeply saddened as a result of our loss. That sadness will always remain with us, and the community will never be the same for it. But at the same time we may take this opportunity to celebrate Mary's work, and the positive effect that she had on so many of us.
We will not forget her.

Why has this page been created?
Because the well known MP3Unsigned artist, and popular, stalwart member of our community Mary Gottschalk is currently residing in hospital, after suffering an accident. She's suffering from respiratory problems at the moment, and immobile in bed and under sedation on a respirator. The situation is described as serious, but we have every hope that Mary will make a full recovery. Toward this end, this page shall reflect the support of our community, by doing what we do best. Music! Ok, we can't heal her with our music by any magical means (though I wish we could), but we CAN show many that we are thinking of her. Once she is out of trouble, and back in the fold, this page shall serve as a lasting tribute to and from the caring, passionate and dedicated people that make up the core of MP3Unsigned.com.

A track from the already bulging (20+ and counting) Mary Gottschalk Tribute Page over at MP3 Unsigned, although MSL are certainly not new to me. This is, I think, the fourth track I have heard from them and I have to say that generally - given the genre, Electronica:Techno - is not bad going. The reason I like them, despite some flaws in their tracks is their drive, energy and producti
