Great track! JJ Cale would really dig this, I'm sure. Lyrics are literally out of this world! well done!
its just all good isnt it? as already said smooth. lovely!
Nice vocals, and great tones. Smooth
Love your new song but hell! "Devil" is something else!! incredible track!
The tone of the guitar in the intro gives it a very nice hook. All through the tune the guitar is really cool. I dig the attitude throughout. Vocals are unique, as always with you, but they are cool. The "Say yeah" part sticks with me. Nice work.
Not sure I could find fault with this track if I wanted too. Rated.
Nice one Mark. Or mr boland. hehe. Love it its got your signature all over it. Top quality as usual from you! Cheers Rogue
And I love those lyrics!
Definitely agree with the T-Rex feeling, and I mean that in the best possible way. Vocals are spot on, great music too, I'm liking this a lot!
Cool track. very laid back, good lyrics. catchy chorus. maybe a clap or a tambourine would be nice to lift it a bit in the chorus imo. Other than that this tune does exactly what it should. and It's perfect sunday morning music.
Like this one....very T-Rex....vocals sounding great...guits do the job....lyrics hang together very well....maybe some more mini-fills drum-wise to add a bit of movement but otherwise it's a goody! Kevin Mooney.
really nice track..the music and the lyrics are a perfect make...job well done BLJ
What the hell's going on around here? (pun intended) Haven't been here for a while...this is the first song I listened to lately. Devil. Devil. Devil. Like a monkey on my back! Started playing guitar when I was 8 years old, and then took up playing Bass when I was 16. Working with a couple of bands locally mainly playing Rock and Covers. Been writing songs for years but only recently (thanks to the advances in digital recording) started to work on recording them. I live in the South East of England.
Great song Mark the old guitar playing is coming along a treat....I will soon be out of a job......now send them out to everyone and become an international songwriter and star and I can say "I used to know that bloke" keep it up old bean, keep it up
This makes me think of day's gone by, freedom, and life's possiblities. Wow!
From the very start this song reminded me of Jethro Tull. The mood is very thick, and coupled with the lyrics does indeed bring thoughts of Sailors being taken from their families back in the day. I love how it makes me feel that I'm on a ship, and missing home.
great track Mark!!,,love the folky feel and the flute sections...makes me want to get back to the british isles, sit myself down in a pub with a nice guinness and ponder the world!! aaron bishop
I know of Mark's work with his bands and I am glad to hear him branch out with his solo work. He has a great ear for a melody and his lyrical structure is very good indeed. I shall watch this site and his progress up the cahrts with interest.
