Come Tomorrow.
Hi Mark , love it, well produced and great song writing.
Hi Mark. Thank you so much for your kind comments on my songs Player Like You and So Near... So Far. I love the melodies of all your songs and especially the meanings. Your vocals are great too. The message behind this track I read with interest and what I get from this track is that life can be a challenge sometimes and changes can be hard but we all have to face and take what it throws at us. I have recently been through the stress of moving so this track actually touches me. It's another fine song from you. Enjoyed. Paul
Thanks for all the kind comments.. Yes Ron.. The Eastern flavour is Tabla..
Like the percussion. Is that the Tabla? Nice easy going song with good vocal delivery and a great tight chorus.
liked the mix of folk guitar plucking and the India rhythms (tabla and others). Good choice that hearkens back to Beatles discovery of Eastern philosophy, or so it conjures up in my mind ;) Lyrics tell a quirky ironic tale...what a fine tale you weave (Seals and Crofts come to mind)...enjoyed the mix and production. Wouldn't mind the vocals up a bit more...just my preference ;) Sweet and well-crafted tune, Mark, Kudos!
Sorry i missed this last week. Glad i found it. I love your songs. Great all round performance and sound. I like the lyrics, very true. :)
Excellent songwriting, excellent song! Beautiful guitar with catchy rhythm, the vocs are great, especially also their chorus and the smooth, soft touch of the percussions is very pleasant. Thumbs up for you and your journey.
A musical journey into wisdom. Your musicianship is impressive. Clever and well produced.
love this track , great guitar work ,super stuff.....tonyc
Cool acoustic track and well presented. Nice accompaniment on that guitar(s) Great work; well done.
Excellent lyric and vocal, you've accompanied it well; love that acoustic and the perky perc. Havin' another listen, I'll be humming this melody for a few hours :)
good acoustic track fine vocals & lyrics I enjoyed a lot
Started playing guitar when I was 8 years old, and then took up playing Bass when I was 16. Working with a couple of bands locally mainly playing Rock and Covers. Been writing songs for years but only recently (thanks to the advances in digital recording) started to work on recording them. I live in the South East of England.
Great song Mark the old guitar playing is coming along a treat....I will soon be out of a job......now send them out to everyone and become an international songwriter and star and I can say "I used to know that bloke" keep it up old bean, keep it up
This makes me think of day's gone by, freedom, and life's possiblities. Wow!
From the very start this song reminded me of Jethro Tull. The mood is very thick, and coupled with the lyrics does indeed bring thoughts of Sailors being taken from their families back in the day. I love how it makes me feel that I'm on a ship, and missing home.
great track Mark!!,,love the folky feel and the flute sections...makes me want to get back to the british isles, sit myself down in a pub with a nice guinness and ponder the world!! aaron bishop
I know of Mark's work with his bands and I am glad to hear him branch out with his solo work. He has a great ear for a melody and his lyrical structure is very good indeed. I shall watch this site and his progress up the cahrts with interest.
