A Revering Sight
This is beautiful, really enjoyed this track! Definitely a motion picture candidate. Great job!
This is cool. I agree it would be a nice motion picture soundtrack. I like the temporary dissonance throughout - very imaginative...keeps it interesting! Just wish it was longer. Rated.
Smudge from Smudgie
I'll be reading about you some day Yep your name on the credits for a hugh motion picture score or I'll see you going up on stage to receive your award for best Music Score.
You are a Brilliant Talent!
Very good stuff mate! Youll be giving nobuo a tough time with this one!
brilliant...superb string sounds ..timpanis or kettles... not sure...just olve the attangement...all of em!
Put this in the wrong track comment section. So here it is again.
Well its been a while, but once again mikey comes out with a blinder of an idea. you already know i rate your writting, and gave you my thoughts in the chatroom, so hopefully you get around to bringing this to full fruition. Gotta love your style Mikey.
Very nice work here... the symphony thing works well with you behind it! you deffinately have an ear for music, and it shows in your tunes.. it takes time and patience to compose something like this... and patience truly is a virtue with music, I think you'll do very well!
great work Mikey!
this is a very mature piece of work, you've got a great future ahead of you. Cheers!
Great strings, thoughtful composition, really enjoyed your work. Keep up the creativity.
This is beautiful stuff- I have nothing clever or wise to say other than wow this moves me man! thanks
Strings in the beginning sound very amazing indeed, really massive but still beautiful. Liking the melody line as well, very beautiful. The piano could have been brighter with a really proper reeverb, but it's fine as the way it is. Not really keen on the drums, as I'm more liking orchestral songs without drums and just strings and melody variations etc. I think the drums are too front, I think you could have kept them more in the back you know? Still a very enjoyable and epic piece of music. Well rated dude. Thanks for your comments also.
just back for another cheeky listen still think its a gr8 piece dude really romantic :) have some love from the uk :D
Hey man! This is great! Really cool! Cant believe its only ur second effort - this is really owe inspriing - keep at it!
timeless, brilliant...infectious! ratedx, The Kid
checked it out. Nice. nice composure. a steady build up. a nice listening piece. never heard your original mix, but this is fine.
Had a listen... very nice indeed... very full and instrumentation is choice! I'm liking the timpini and the orchestral snare is snappy for sure. Gotta leave a rating for this... NICE JOB!
very nice track, Mike. It builds and builds and builds...I really like the layering of this track. Very nice intro - It really sounds beautiful. I personally would use the timpani a bit more sparingly to increase their effect on the overall piece..Fantastic piece of work...ends too soon :-) rated Martin
A quality production my friend. I loved the original but hte additions you have made turn it into a cracking track. The snares are excellent.I was going to enter the compo but on hearing this, there is no point now!! lol. Good luck Mike. rated for yer.
Learn something new every day! I can call you Mikey! :) A Revering Sight... In listening to this again. What makes you think you can enter this in the competetion? Well, I'll tell you... IT STAND A VERY GOOD CHANCE OF WINNING! Bravo to you mister! I am understandng that you use all that music stuff your sitting by quite well! Justice served---rated. :) Carol Sue
i like it i noticed you added a snare near the end before i even read the comments i liked it before didnt really notice the timpani problems you was having was always focused on the melody ;) still a decent track m8 cant thumbs up already done it :)
Updated! The only thing different I did was change the timpani's rhythm a bit, at parts through the song and also added some snares to it as well.
I would really appreciate feedback on what you think of the change. Is it good enough? Does it need more?
Here's hoping I did justice to it...
i love the violins... its a great track mate! massive respect. enjoy your rating ;) what sounds do you use to make the violins and pianos?? are the sampled? cos i need to download those sounds! nice one mate keep playing from the heart cos thats what music is all about!
Hey Michael. Complex track you've got here mate. I must say I'm very impressed. The strings and horns really go well together, good mix. The piano comes in a little strong at first but finds its place in the mix... I don't think the timpani are doing the track justice though (maybe just use them in the crescendo bits with the cymbals).
Hat of and deep bow m8 !
Congratulations Mister Featured Artist of the Week! :) Carol Sue
This would do very well as background music for an epic (as you said) scene. You said you were into Uematsu, I bet he'd be impressed with this too, reminds me a lot of FF. Nice work.
Just wanted to say congratulations for being 'Artist Of The Week', much deserved.Well done..regards
Back for another listen. Superb pice of work.
still dont understand this rating. i tried to rate you a 10 but a dumb pop up happens instead. and my popup blocker blocks it, so my apologies if i rated you low..if so, know that i wanted to give you a 10
wow nice pads, i think im going to make a pot of tea kick up my feet and look out at the beautiful day. the piano is great. hey if beats are your problem, they are my specialty, so i could alwyas help ya out
Hi Msl just popped in to pay tribute.Wonderful full arrangement with great percussion.Lovely arrangement fit for a soundtrack. Beautiful....
A very pertty composition! Nice!
Thanks for all the great comments guys. It means a whole lot to me! Makes me want to continue into this genre!
A wonderful creation! :) Carol Sue
Sounding nice man, Your really starting to get the hang of this. Great work
congrats on chart place! what did you make this on btw?
Much improved and more enjoyable now I understand the sentiment behind the original - it always pays to take time away from work like this then return with more thought to what the original idea behind it was. I'm glad you took onboard the commetns people made about making it longer, (nice to know I was right about something for a change lol) - much better with that ending too, so accomplished it seems like you've been doing this tyep of stuff for a long while. What are we gonna get in a year or so from you fella ? Good Luck in the comp buddy Take Care Clive ;)
Yeah, agree with most of the comments below, like it, cant say much more than well done!
Its good to see you trying diff types of music, and you've pulled it off very well too. NExt up for you...reggae??? :)
An excellent piece of work. You just can't beat melodic, flowing strings. I like the ending as well - the little piano tinkle right a the end is great.
This is definitely 'movie music'. A 'nom' from me........
thats much more sound kiddo. Hard work and a little extra tweaking sounds all worth it squire.
Hi MSL...this is a great piece of music!....beautifully arranged, and the progression is just great. The flutey melodys are really nice touch too. And the ending was a nice surprise, Excellent stuff. Rated and nominated!
Back again. Glad to see your fine tuning this. the little bit make a huge difference. Nice ending. Not the last touch up me thinks. Great stuff
ps again, ending is much less cheesy and really is done well
ps i really like the percussion. not too loud, not too soft. nice
much much better. dare i say flawless? i already rated before so it aint lettin me. ill try and nominate and try to get you on the charts peace
Nice track! Really soothing. Keep up the good work.
newer mix up. Different ending and it's a bit longer. It's 3:15 instead of 3:07. Do you think it's a fitting ending? I tried to get rid of the cheesiness at the end.
Bravo Maestro! I suspect this will be one of those tracks that you will come back to again and again as your knowledge of orchestration deepens and improves. Even so, it is a delight as it stands. Graham
Superb....... I love this. Brilliant use of String and Brass. The extra section does make a huge difference.
Well done my friend, well done.
Wow...you really do have an ear for orchestral compositions. I have to agree with acrosoma in that you have really brought the composition to life with the strings. I could see this being used as a score for a movie. Keep up the good work.
sweet sweet sweet much better lad the extra as finished this of just perfect :)
new mix up. It's now 3:07 long instead 2:12. I hope did good to it.
You dont half have a good sound squire..and your 9 years younger than me :( lol! (I aint jealous or anything!)
So whats your Treasured Posession then man? and nice work on the strings kidda..nice touch indeed. Are you gonna make the composition longer for the competition? I take it that was a snippet? but from the snippet mate I can tell that this is gonna be a beauty. I love poppin over to your page..just to see you sat there in that lot! (lucky mofo!) you started to use that studio yet? last time we spoke you said it was your friends..but do you produce any music there?
Cross Mykyndred with AndyF and you get this rich, moving piece that would enhance any film score...just wonderful MSL...Twice the length would probably have not been too much for me.
I'm glad I did the review before visiting this to comment. As said by everyone, not long enough, would love to see you develope this into a muuch longer fuller peice. But whats there is brilliant, Highly rated. Steve
good luck with this one, real nice track!
Very decent track, enjoyed it all the way to the end.Well done.
i'm a bit out of my element with this sort of track but i thought this was excellent. really melodic... very sound tracky...good luck in the comp, great enrty. rated!
This is very soundtrack & is quite an accomplished but very short piece of work putting all those strings together. However, I personally felt there isn't enough variation within the piece - as GreyBrow says below it isn't quite long enough. If you could add a further minute then this would leave room for more variation in the mid-section of the track. There's too many instruments playing at the beginning that could actually be broken down to add strength in the piece later, especially the cresendo ending. This could be reused with a string sustain then follow back into the body finalising with a bigger crescendo and echoing/billowing majestically crashing cymbals. As short piece however it is pleasurable, nbut I fell could be more so. No offense, but I think you can better this. Take Care & Good Luck ;)
Nice orchestral piece man. Great composition indeed ! Not too sure about the Timpani, maybe better only to use them in the crescendo bits (in wich they really work wonders !).
Good luck man ! Good entry !
Now that really a great composition, symphonic, lots of variation, and completely absorbing. Graet Job!
IT says under your name "experimental/techno/trance" lol, you could have fooled me! Really good use of the orchestral sounds, I giess my only comment would be that it could have been longer (I was enjoying it so much). Great effort mate - I can see you going off on a completely new musical journey after this. Graham
cracking man - if this was full on orchestra it would be superb
Ive got a few ideas for you in the future man, ill keep ya posted, sweet track man - hope you and Matthew get back on track together soon
stupendous, and epic, the two best words to describe this i think. the instruments are spot on! quality entry
you already know my thoughts this is quality lad and a good track to enter the summer comp good luck with it m8 thumbs up from me
Don't really get a lot of out and out classical music on this review beat. I get to review great wodges of faux-classical stuff courtesy of any number of artists but straightforward music from dead white dudes, meh. When I first met MP3 Unsigned's M S L, he was just starting a Music Major course in his native Florida but the music he was pumping out at the time was largely electr
Now for an artist who is not new to me from MP3 Unsigned. When I first encountered MSL when I reviewed Keep It High (October 2005) I wrote that 'there is plenty of room for this duo to grow into, I'd say expect some big things from them' and events proved that to be the case. They carried in experimenting with tracks right throughout the rest of 2005 and into 2006 when they changed dir
You'll only be able to listen to MSL's latest track partly because, I believe, it's an entry into an upcoming MP3 Unsigned competition but hey, it might be worth it. MSL veered off in an entirely new direction with The Remnants of... (May 2006) mixing their already established electronica sound sense with a hefty portion of classical influence on the side. To be absolutely truthful I w
Msl is a young kid hitting up the music making scene, busting out electronic pieces and of late he has been venturing out of his genre and really testing himself. this track, entitled a "revering site" is apptly titled. I really felt like i was seeing a revered sight when listening to this piece.
This piece has very lush sounding pads. knowing msl decently well, i know that he u
First things first, this review is a request from MSL . I told him a while back if he ever wanted one , just to ask and I would do one. So he's been saving this for something imporatant.
And I'm so glad he did.
I discovered msl a while back, and like so many people on this site I was suitably inpressed, but being in a genre that alot of people share, didn't think he stood out particularly from

At this stage of the game, I have five MSL tracks under my belt, so I should know what to expect by now. The Remnants of... isn't, to be honest, that much of a surprise. I first came across MSL when I reviewed their Keep It High (October 2005) track. Obviously the review was full of my usual gripes and groans about the genre but I think MSL came off quite well, it had an infectio
Review #2 from me for MSL. I have to admit, ...hmm...admit
what....I think i liked the previous song I reviewed much better, not
that this one is bad, it is done very well, but I just find it's very
generic for it's genre. It does have alot of nice sounds, and is mixed
very well, crisp clean and very easy to listen to, here are some of the
problems I have with this track.
I have to admit, shamefully, that I have never reviewed msl before, and I am happy that I have today.
I found that this track took quite a while to get into a change at the
beginning, but once it did, it really took me for a ride, the drastic
melody changes didn't sound out of place and lept me listening,
although I found the tracks meat and potatoes to be a little short

Life in The Fast Lane by MSLRight, first off, since this is my first review i'm going to to let you know where Im coming from and how I'm going to review.I've been making tunes since I was at school (maybe 8 years now) but I started getting into Dance (of all types) when I started Raving about 5 years ago. So, being an Electronic track Im going to write from a 'Dance Floor' perspective, if you see
Hi MSL, I really admired the recording quality of the song it was top notch! I think it would do very well in a movie or a video game. I don't really detect anything real commerical or being a sell out piece of material but you never know. It's not exactly the kind of music I get into because I'm more into Rock n Roll and Blues and stuff like that but I appreciate all genres of m
I have review msl once before, and at first this track seems to be quite different from that. It opens with some lovely atmospheric synths and computer blibs and blobs. These are setting up a nice feel to the track. The second act (as I am calling it due to the different sound) comes in with what sounds like the ocean and seagulls. A nice drum sound going on here, and again some
Although I've reviewed a few of this MP3 Unsigned's artists tracks by now, it's been a bit of an on and off affair largely because I am not a big fan of electronica and certainly not the dance-y kind. However, there are times when MSL step off the dance floor and then it does make a visit worthwhile. Last month I reviewed The Thread Of Life, an orchestral peice which hung together resp
Right here we go, firstly I'll pre-empt this by saying I do not class Dance as one of my chosen areas, in fact you would be hard pressed to see me on a dance floor (not a pretty sight I can tell you ;o)) So I shall attempt to review this with a dancing type persons head on!
This track opens with a nice build up which makes you want to listen to find out what is going to happen, I can imagin
This is the second time I have reviewed this artist
This one I can relate to a lot more than the last track. Anyways lets stat up with the melody, yeah that’s a cool melody. Reminds me of Robert miles track called children. Really dreamy feel to it. Nice atmosphere with the drums and a real clean production and very tastefully done. Im not a big fan of trance but I deffo like what I am hearing w
Ok maybe I have put this one off for long enough, I been trying to get words out for the past couple days to do this review and it’s been hard. a little story first hand may clear a few things up. once upon a time lol sorry
I don’t know if people know how hard this reviewing can be.
Right here goes from 1991 -1998 I spent a fair few years on the wheels of steel.
Loved a lot of the time, and
This track is insane! and i love it, takes me back to playing on my
gameboy! What makes it stand out from the crowd for me is the fact that its so
different, and sounds very well produced too! i have it playing in the
background as im writing this and i cant stop smiling its just feels so
happy. The song has great structure as well, about a minuite or so in
it breaks into a slightly different
MP3 Unsigned's MSL dwell in a musical world that doesn't always appeal to me - electronica in general and trance/dance in particular. However, over the last couple of tracks they have provided for review they have aquitted themselves honorably - especially for musicians so young (16 and 17 respectively). Where they do well is in the final product, with mixes that are sharp, clear and i
MSL is an MP3 Unsigned artist who specialises in a music I don't really have a lot of time for - trance. See, the problem with trance/techno/whatever - at least for those people listening sitting down - is that instrumentals aren't really all that gripping to listen to. Great fun when you are off your face and out clubbing with your mates undoubtedly, but distinctly non-pc for those co
Now before we get down to the dirty, let me put in my usual 'techno is not really my thing' disclaimer just so it's understood upfront that whether I like this or not is down to personal preferences - simply because most techno doesn't interest me. It still wouldn't stop me appreciating a work of musical coherence and on that score MSL have nothing to worry about because Keep It High certain
