LaMia began her music career at the age of 13. She began recording with Award winning songwriter/producer Warren Allen Brooks. Mr. Brooks is also her uncle. Having no studio experience at the time, Mr.Brooks helped LaMia polish her skills and started recording her demo. LaMia enjoyed working with her uncle but did not share his view for her to become a Techno singer. LaMia's heart was in RnB and Gosepl and she wanted to pursue that 100%. Today LaMia is singing for the Glory of God and is reaching millions by singing his praises!LaMia's newest album Chapter 1 is by far her best, as it speaks truth and salvation and of the power of forgiveness. Chapter 1 - is a must have!!!

One of my greatest influences would have to be from Gospel music period. I grew up in the church so thats my roots. I do enjoy Monica, Deborah Cox, Anita Baker, Toni Braxton, Patti, Mary Mary, Brandy, Mary J Blige, John p Kee, and Hezekiah Walker.
