Primal Dreams (Recorded Live)
Good vocals nice tune too. Could imagine this in a film, disco scene with a killer on the loose, top music.
This gets really powerful really fast, just jumps right into the fray and has some really cool Techno elements. I love Techno! Awesome vocals, kind of punk, kind of dark, completely original. Has the ever so slightest oriental feel at some points and it's really epic. Amazing energy and was a blast to listen to! Thumbs up guys!!
Fine piece of electronica pie right here! Such a prolific songwriter you are, way to go! =Kudos= Oh... I was able to put a vote in the hat for your other new song/collab on the Wolf & Dragons page~ but an error message keeps popping up... something about a stack line error- anyway, another cool tune from you all!! :)
Thanks for the comments guys, this was recorded at a live gig at the West Glamorgan Institute of higher education, Swansea.
Certainly raw and raucous. Really like the synth riffs and the energy the track exudes. Was it recorded LIVE in the studio or a gig somewhere? The vocals are a bit buried in the mix (on my set up anyway) if you hadn't posted the lyrics i might have missed some of the words you were singing. Adds to the live feel though. Thumbs. James
nice job boys.. whens the tour? big dreams going on here..
Forbidden Colours are a Swansea (South Wales, UK) based band who discovered synthesisers in 1979 and, after years of study have finally found the little button that turns them on. We are Mark Newton and Andy Jonah, a control freak and fat boy respectively. We have been influenced by many people, including our bank manager, the electricity board and a hypnotist named the amazing Mesmo.
We would describe our music as having been written by us, musically, using some instruments in a style which is usually the complete opposite of what we started out to write, but which, nonetheless is surprisingly good. We hope one day to pioneer the practice of playing air-synths. We are possibly the only Welshmen in existence who can't sing (we were thrown out of the choir for shoving), but we're not that worried because the music is the thing. When not writing music we generally tend to stare off into space listening to whatever tunes our inner DJ's spin in our heads. Contrary to everything written here, we do take our music seriously. Biographies, on the other hand...
Mark Newton: Vocals (well he calls them vocals), Vocoder, Lead guitar, Synthesisers, Samplers, Percussion
Andy Jonah: Backing vocals, Vocoder, Bass guitar, Synthesisers, Samplers, Percussion (tea and welsh cakes)
We are currently looking for a Swansea based vocalist, male, female, transgender or even hermaphrodite. (We don't care just so long as you can carry a tune in a bucket.)
