OMD back in the room!
Very nice I love this
A mixture Roxy music-tangerine dream-80 s i love melodic songs
Love the synth and the bubbly vibe. Very 80s. Nicely done. Rated :)
this song is very 80s in style quite like o.m.d. in parts an enjoyable song well done
How can you not love this? Sooo sweet so retro!
An uplifting tune, guys~ makes this listener feel happy, and in the spirit of dance! Nicely done!!
"Bubble-icious!" =Kudos= :)
From bubblejuice to bubblehead. Yeah the backing is so OMD - they had some fantastic hits in the 80s - like a lot of people my favourite has to be Enola Gay though i have a soft spot for Talking Loud and Clear. Your vocal reminds me a bit of Ian Curtis - that low delivery. Great synth pop. Nominated
Hi Mark and Andy. I can really feel the OMD 80's influence here and you have got it spot on! Totally agree with DJ Frankie. This is wonderful. Enjoyed immensely and the bubble effects are brilliant. PJ
I was a big OMD fan...and I'm definitely getting their synthpop vibe. The double synth lead lines are cool. Luv the retro percs too.
Vocals reminding me of some David Bowie, great musical phrasing and... wow, my mind just went totally blank. This song sucks the thoughts right out of your head and replaces them with whimsical riffs. Nice trick. Also, reminds me very much of the album Chorus by Erasure, pick any song. Very nice retro-feel here, it's just a nice song! A very harmless and wonderful song indeed!!
Forbidden Colours are a Swansea (South Wales, UK) based band who discovered synthesisers in 1979 and, after years of study have finally found the little button that turns them on. We are Mark Newton and Andy Jonah, a control freak and fat boy respectively. We have been influenced by many people, including our bank manager, the electricity board and a hypnotist named the amazing Mesmo.
We would describe our music as having been written by us, musically, using some instruments in a style which is usually the complete opposite of what we started out to write, but which, nonetheless is surprisingly good. We hope one day to pioneer the practice of playing air-synths. We are possibly the only Welshmen in existence who can't sing (we were thrown out of the choir for shoving), but we're not that worried because the music is the thing. When not writing music we generally tend to stare off into space listening to whatever tunes our inner DJ's spin in our heads. Contrary to everything written here, we do take our music seriously. Biographies, on the other hand...
Mark Newton: Vocals (well he calls them vocals), Vocoder, Lead guitar, Synthesisers, Samplers, Percussion
Andy Jonah: Backing vocals, Vocoder, Bass guitar, Synthesisers, Samplers, Percussion (tea and welsh cakes)
We are currently looking for a Swansea based vocalist, male, female, transgender or even hermaphrodite. (We don't care just so long as you can carry a tune in a bucket.)
