Dominique
I am a boy, age 11.  I play the classical guitar, and have been studying it since before I was 8 with my guitar tutor Walter.  I practice piano and guitar everyday.  I also learn theory and play the piano in music school, as a second instrument, mainly so I can play synthesizer.  I have another teacher, called Bette, who teaches me applied theory.  She has a master degree in jazz guitar and can do substitutions like lightning.  I also did my first master class with Fernando Riscado Cordas.  He's one of Holland's master guitar players, and he is remarkable.

I have been playing small gigs at school and in music school, and attend a guitar group where I can play together with other classical guitarists.  My taste has developed quite a bit since I began, and after considering to start playing electrical guitar for a few months, I changed my mind and decided to go acoustic for now.

I like to play guitar arrangements of traditional classical pieces, and have played work from Grieg, Mozart, Beethoven and Wagner.  I like traditional blues - mississippi style and thumb bass - and play stuff from Clapton, Flint and Sacksioni.  I also like the Spanish traditionals like Tarrega, Sor, Carulli, Villa-Lobos and so on.  Currently I am learning a lot of old dance music, lute transcripts, some easier work from Bach, as well as rhythmic pieces, like Guantanamera.  I am also working hard to develop my tremolo so I can start studying Recuerdas de la Alhambra.

My favourite guitar players are Eric Clapton, Julian Bream, John Williams, Paco de Lucia, Manuel Barrueco, Fernando Cordas, and Andres Segovia.

I sold the Takamine and purchased a Masaru Kohno 97 model.  Handmade by Kohno himself, German Spruce board, rosewood and ebony, a very nice guitar with a sound that keeps developing.

I speak fluent Dutch, some French and English.  My dad will edit all my writings for spelling.

The music I put online is mostly from rehearsal, always live / in one take, and never edited or produced, unless specifically mentioned.  At the moment I have not been updating the music on here a lot.  What is on here is about a year old.  I hope to upload some new song soon.

Below are some pictures with famous classical guitar players:  Raphaella Smits (Belgium's best) and me, and Fernando Riscado Cordas (One of Holland's top guitar players) during a workshop.
