The Unfortunate Angel
Hi Dan, I love the truthfulness of what your doing. I was a massive synth man in my early days and have just got hold of another Moog!!! I'll keep writing my way though. Keep it up.
If one was not at piece before listening, afterwards the peace they shall find. A true slice of beautiful ambience... applause to you, my friend. (thank you)
Hi Dan. Just wanted you to know that i listened to your work all morning. Man you've got some beautiful tracks. I really enjoyed hearing Rich's vocals on a couple of them. Good stuff my friend. Take care
Hi Dan. Just wanted to say hi I hope all is well with you. I'm sure I've heard this one before but today it's fresh and new to my ears. Very haunting and again has a sadness to it. Love the build. That part isn't sad but has a hopeful feel to it. Always love your stuff Dan. Take care.
Hey Dan, Long time no sea said the priest to the 10 day old mackerel...how the hell are you? Hope you are staying cool brother it feels like 110 here but listening to this chill tune with the chimes and soaring melody I am seeing mountain peaks capped with snow and feeling much cooler now! Is that the Dali Lama? Rated!
Very soothing Dan. This is real chill out material and I am a huge fan of the windchimes. Nice mixture of sounds in this. Mellow mood invoked.
Dan! You know I always love your music and this is no exception. Excellent composition and timeless sounds.
Been a long time since I have had a listen to your music, have been away and have some catching up to do for sure.. nice to be back, nice to see that you are still producing some really nice music.. love this ethereal and soothing piece... really nice.
A beautifully chilled piece of music. Lovely atmospheric sounds washing over this listener. Music as an art form for sure. Rated. John & Paul.
Wonderful track on display Dan, love the strings and choral work. The chords are really nice and the flow is perfect.Love this work fella.
Lovely work once again Dan...stiringly lush sounds. Very nice mate. A walk in the angels garden me thinks :) That wind/synth was a bit loud for my liking at around 3mins spoilt my rest lol Great work. Mal

Dark intro :) keeping with a dark theme but gently opening up around 2:10.. Very nice ! Love the choir/coral synth. Nice Deep Forest Vibes :) Like how it goes dark again for the ending.Peace,Ricky
Dan, I can always count on a listen that opens up possibilities... of being...deep in thoughts, taken along to a place I needed to visit with you. Always appreciated, always welcomed!

Simply spellbinding. Gibbo
Just sublime Dan. Get an oriental feel to this with the wind chime bell effect. Excellent composition as usual . I envy you and you music tapestries. Take a bow my friend.
Quite an array of sounds, they blend in so beautifully. Really like the way this one builds up then drops off again, very peaceful track. Another one for my archive...........David
Dan on the third pic in the gallery, you hold your hands the same way I do.
As rich would say; Dan your music is yet another reason to wake up.
Beautiful piece of music Dan and I can hear every element that makes this a wonderful listening experience. Shivers down my spine - magic!!!!
Howdy! A Southern California artist living in Texas. Go figure. Make em up as I go along. Charter member of the pray and play theory of music...;-). I have been extremely fortunate to have some of the best artists on this site take some of my musical creations and take them to "a whole nother level" . The following artists have been kind enough to do this.
Essence, Saphfire, Dawn Sinclair, Carol Sue Kirkpatrick, Amy Caldwell, Vince Fedele (aka Riddle, A Brighter Day, Vin), AndyF (aka Andrew Foyston), Tony Miller, James (Andy) Oakwood, Joseph Rodriguez, Lodato (aka Rich Lodato), Peter Vines, AntonH, Boojolay (David Smith) and the irrepressable David Joel Carter
This piece is as most of what I hear from Dan. Ambient by nature on the borderline of new age but really ambient as the passion involved is so thought provoking. The quality of sounds and just enough of structure to keep you guessing where it's going next at the same time, the flow doesn't keep you waiting but going along for the journey. That's magic. Dan has that aplenty and just about anyone wh
Essence is a very talented lady from MP3 Unsigned who I have reviewed once or twice, notably on Towers Are Gone (July 2008) a marked departure from her usual style, and her first (I think) collaboration with Dan Michaelson, an American keyboard player and songwriter. He supplied the music and she supplied the vocals and lyrics and - despite it being in a genre I don't normally care for - I found
What a beauty music...I can see the princess on his room...and walking over all of her palace...a beauty, and magical descriptive music...rated!
Dan Michaelson describes himself as "truly an amatuer". For reasons none other than he is not fully conversant with the mechanics of musical theorem. I suspect as a result of that some people feel the need to explain themselves and somehow belittle themselves when faced with the critics imaginary lack of theory beating stick. What i mean by this is that nobody should call themselves an amatuer, ci
