Invisible Monsters
Hi, Fun, funky rockin' sound. Energetic and toe tappin'. Good strong vocals. Cheers, Smudge from Smudgie
Third one I've listened to from you. I like your "free for all" sound. Agree you guys must rock live.
like this, great recording and performance. I bet your good live, nice one :-)
"A public warning to all Yorkshire folk. Be wary of the water, cause someone’s spiked it with a talent-enhancing drug.
Cellarhigh are in good company with The Music and Arctic Monkeys already treading the boards, and fellow white roses, The Invention, aiming to jump on the same train to join the high flyers.
This showcase from Cellarhigh contains a melee of influences, including The Jam, Incubus, and some rhythmic tutoring courtesy of the RHCP.
Cellarhigh are enjoying a steady rise in the popularity steaks in the Yorkshire region, building up a steady fan base to aid them in their battle against the rest of the UK. With some well appointed support slots, and a focused team to push them in the right direction Cellarhigh could well be on some highs of there own."
I don't wear scarves indoors...
Cellarhigh are not 'normal'. They don't look it and they certainly don't sound it, at least there's few bands out there combining a such a massive wide of influences from indie, rock, funk and dance music. A Sheffield fourpiece with songs about how Sheffield's gone mad since the monkeys made it, our catalogue cuture and the tv dynamic, they write about what's around them, which worringly includes some rather strange hallucinations. Immediate success saw support slots with the Kaiser Chiefs, Chikinki and The Koreans before continuing their rise by gigs with Louis XIV, SoundExplosion, Blackbud, The Mardous and Big Strides. Not to mention gigs at venues such as Saturday night at The Leadmill (main stage), Stuff't Olives, the famous Fuzz Club and Tuesday Club stage, open air festivals and recognisable airplay to boot. After spending time redefining their sound and venturing out of the steel city, the band now return with their 'As Seen on Tv' EP - an assault on cliques, ignorance and the daily stupor. Looking to push the boundaries of what's not normal even further in 2007 with energetic live performances and a desire to rock out and dance, the band intend to hit the ground running and most importantly, it's about writing music they enjoy instead of trying to sound like Morrisey...
