Cadence have really improved since the start of 2005, their previous singer has departed and their guitarist Robert-Lee Sefton has taken over vocals. Daniel Carter, as ever, is producing deep bass lines, and Aaron McDonald is still impressing with his bassy african-tribal style drum beats. Eventhough Cadence are now a three-piece band, they havent lost their deep sound, their music is described as 'complicated simplicity' as sometimes they sound quite complex, but even with just three members, this complicated sound, is really quite simple. Cadence have, from the start, been great believers in original music, and every song they play is their own, they get great satistfaction from writing a new song, and were ecstatic when fans, on a recent tour of germany, sang the words to their slow anthem 'I Know It's O.k.' back to them in admiration. Cadence are hopeful that 2005 will be a good year for them, they are forgetting everything from the past and are now just looking forward, the bands moto 'Yesterday Is Closed' has been underlined recently, but tomorrow is always open, and with a new line-up, and new songs, Cadence are back.
