BULLETT - SHORT BIOGRAPHY
Hard Rock group Bullett reached its current formation in 2003 when five Helsinki - based rockmusicians got together on a mission to bring back ass-kicking, riff-laden but still melodic style of Hard Rock back to the spotlight.
The Bullett-saga got started earlier when guitarists Rizzto (playing also in the metal band Darcane/Holochaust at the time) and Bona had became growingly frustrated at the lame music scene of the day. They had been jamming and writing songs occasionally and after a while they decided to seek for like-minded musicians to form a hard rock band which would honour the influences from the golden metal decade of the eighties while still remaining original without copying anybody. Name of the band was influenced by 60īs Steve McQueen movie 'Bullitt' and Misfits song 'Bullet'. Yeah, weird cocktail - but it stuck!
They placed an "musician wanted" ad on a local music magazine and got several answers. None of them were very inspirational until they got a call from a powerful-voiced singer called Juce, who shared a similar vision of what a perfect rock band should be. The three got along wonderfully and they noticed that they could write good songs together very naturally. Songs filled with catchy riffs and vocal hooks just flowed out and they soon realized they had a full set of songs ready. Now it was time to fill in the last open positions in the band and get ready to rehearse like maniacs. The plan was simple: get a group of good players together, have fun, hang out, write more catchy tunes and perform them with passion, lust and fury. And of course dominate the whole world and bring back loud rockīnīroll from the sorry state it had been for a while.
A long, long, long time ago Juce had played in a band with this wild long-haired rocker called Tim-O and Juce had just heard through the grapevine (or maybe grapewine) that he might be available. The guys decided to check him out and on their first jam session it was perfectly clear that Tim-O was the right man for the job. The last missing piece of the puzzle was found when a skilled bassist with a two-letter name and one-track mind known as V*M (formerly of the band Ferdys Skerdys) joined the group. The chemistry of the band was amazing and they continued to rehearse and write more songs.
Bullett released their debut 3-song promo CD 'Chinese Democrazy' in January 2004 and it got immediately very positive feedback.
