Unlike most Artists, music was not a talent inherited in the family besides the fact of his mother always singing around the house and his uncle who plays many ethnic types of drums. But one thing that was obvious while growing up was that Blyss was most comfortable, calm and happy around Music (Eternal Blyss). Music was always his favorite thing to do, Whether it was acting out a New Edition or Michael Jackson performance he had just scene on TV or just sitting around wondering what made Music sound so good to him. Blyss been performing since about the age of four but didn’t take it seriously until the age of twelve. That’s when he started to write not only lyrics but poetry and short stories too. Not until his senior year in high school (1998), is when David Elizond, a.k.a Kidd Cumbia (Whos Hits/EMI) noticed his work and offered him a song writing position with his newly formed independent label. Shortly after words, Blyss was invited to write for an R&B quartet called On Point. The two lead singers though didn’t feel right about the group and decided to start a new one. They heard Blyss sing a song he wrote for them and decided to put him in the group. Illujion was born. Shows were being booked every week and Illujion became very well known in Central Texas. There biggest performance was opening up for Texas rap legend Lil Troy in front of 3,000 fans. As one of the hottest R&B groups to ever come out of Central Texas, it soon came to the realization that everything was moving too fast for a member of the group and felt they were a loner. So Illujion became a Three Man Group. Things never picked up afterwards and so Dazze and Blyss went solo to further our talents and experience. Local and independent labels came and went as he found that there was a lot of cats in the Music game like him, but few were on the serious business level as he was. In 2004, regionally known R&B group Reason was on the brink of a major deal. They contacted Blyss to join them to give them that edge to put them over the top. (The group was HOT already!) But like in previous years, this lasted for a few months and Blyss left as he felt his style of music was too different from what the group was doing, Currently Blyss is in studios working on his first solo album and working with other big names in the music scene in and out of the area including: Gospel vocalist Dazze, Austin's own rap legend Mr. HeavyHitta, da hottest Latin Artist today Kidd Cumbia, REMY SKLZ, A.T.M. (Tejas Records), Nutn Nyce, DJ DOC, DJ Cassanova and many more.
