At last, after almost 3 years of being meticulously worked at the full length electronica album from smdge. has shuffled into our shop.

Based upon a concept that had been plaguing his mind for the past 6 years, smdge. finally set to work on his self-proclaimed ‘favourite project’. Purposefully, & unusually, stretching recording out for as long as possible, smdge. has created the perfect anecdote for anyone not taken with his previous indie releases, with an astonishing amount of care & attention clearly embedded within each & every recording.

The end result is a perfect display of an artist working within his own world as a subtly moralistic & ethical narrative of ethereal characters, snow swept digital landscapes, ponderous protagonists, & small harmless monsters are built up over the course of 9 compact, & concise tunes.

Having been in development for a full year & a half, smdge. returns with this surprising foray into the world of soft-spoken electronica. Somewhere between ‘The Notwist’, ‘Ms. John Soda’, ‘B.Fleischmann’, & ‘boy in static’ lie the foundations for what is a refreshing alternative for anyone not taken with his debut albums indie sensibilities, & it serves as a gracious reminder of the versatility of this growing artist.

Present on this e.p. is the pulsating A-Side that is ‘our monster’, stuffed with shy melancholy, & tender pop hooks it’s an irrevocably enchanting number.
