Jason de-Vaux
Jason made his first record in 1987 with his then band “His Word” in 1988 he was signed to the Ebony record label and had a synth underground dance hit “Dancing in the shadows” Although happy with making music Jason felt called to Christian ministry and mothballed his music until 2000 when he started to lead worship as well as preach and recorded an album “Thoughts for feelings” with the Christian band “All for Sunday”.
Writing songs for a while Jason recorded his first solo album “DNA” in 2010, he has also collaborated with 4 Men and a Sofa and The Monkeys for Jesus on charity singles. He is currently working on his second solo album “Even the stars bow down” and a children’s praise album “When children pray” in collaboration with his wife.
Jason lives in Cambridge with his wife El and is involved with Ministry, Chaplaincy, worship and writing. Sometimes he gets a day off. Influenced by many genres of music and styles his music is described as “Songs written from the sofa. An interesting fusion of acoustic and electric storytelling with a back beat”!
