Shake Your Axes!
Prolonged solos are not really my cup of tea usually unless they're used to enhance a song but I still wish I could play like that. A masterclass in technichal ability here and an excellent ad for the talent on this site. Good luck
Kudos to all involved, a very tight, unified sound. The solo's do a marvelous job of showcasing the incredible talent of some of my favorite slingers on the site, and with this production I'd swear you were all on stage together. Enjoyed it! Immmensely! Nice work, fellas, and thanks for putting it together and sharing it with us Craig.
OK, let's try this again. I left 5 paragraphs Sunday & lost them upon posting. I liked it a lot then but absolutely love it now, The new arrangement is perfect! Joseph is kickin it old school in the first lead, Man that guy is smooth! Then black belt Dave Kelly punches & kicks his way in with his signature wicked riffage, ah to be so talented & in an attic surrounded by all my favorite axes! Nice sweep to blend in to Rich; the mighty scaler of tall trees & Ibanez guitars. Wow! What speed picking! Awww, now to make me cry with a soulful Gilmore-esque ballad. Very Nice Tony! Back to the jam.... here comes Craig... rippin! Nice harmonic pinches Bud! Killer job on the backing too! Open harmonics are a nice touch too. This should be a hands down collab contest victor! & to you guys (ya'll as we say in the south) go the spoils! I rate & nom it twice of they'd let me! I'm copying this novel of a comment this time before I post!
Nice one guys...this is gonna do well in the comp...maybe too well;)It's great to hear everyone's different styles all in one track, which is nicely put together...must have been a big job. Craig's done a fine job in the mix.Lot's of talent here...but you've still time to pull out of the comp!!.....?;)
My ears were still remarkably in once piece to enjoy the mellow solo at 3:35. I did however seriously enjoy this. Ant
Wahay missus! Nice!
Great!!!! Sound great!!!!
This is just awesome. Nah, scratch that... this EPIC RAD! haha. Love it. I can totally hear the different styles and I could easily pick out who was who (regardless of the song comments). Craig, special kudos to you fo the mix and arrange. Love the slow down to accomodate TOny's more bluesy sensibilities. Nicely done by all. Dave had some absolutely wicked harmonic scales that just make me so envious. I WISH i could play half as bad as ANY of you. Rated. Nom'd.
Ooooh! Rock at it's finest. We need a mp3unsigned Woodstock. Oh, whose on the solo? Baby! How cool to have the greatest guitarists in the world on one song. Oh my, the Joseph influence? Sweeeet. Damn, you guys made a soundtrack. I want to see this movie. Applause, applause.
This is riff heaven. Awesome stuff!!! Way out my depth to comment on the technicalities but I can say the production is superb!!! Some awesome talent flying around in there. I love the slower part it's so seductive!! Great collab guys!! Lovin it!!! Barry
Not sure if this is the final version (axe slingers are very fussy lol) but it all works fine for me as it is now. Have my favourite bits as everyone has a favourite guitar sound, but I will single out the Tony interlude as it breaks the track up in a lovely way and reminds me of George Harrison for some reason, but everyone plays great so 'five' stars all round, fascinating to see as well how different people take a bit and play in completely different styles. Quite a treat anyway :)
OMG....guitar heaven!! some very talented musicians in there!! really enjoyed this...superb drums. Rated
OUt of noms. Back on sunday if my old noodle works OK. Trying to kinda figure out which riff belongs to which genius and gave up. I think I caught Tony's Pink FLoyd input but I may be wrong there too. It's too much fun to listen to anyways to mess around with that stuff. What a great idea this was (Craig?). WOW!!!!!! Danny Boy
Was a pleasure playing on this one with such a talented bunch of guys - the first of many no doubt. Extra special thanks to Craig for putting together a rocking backing track and a kick ass outro solo. Here's to the Axe Slingers!
L O V E It! I'm so FN jealous of you guys... I hate each and every one of you ;) My deepest respect for all involved in this! EZ Rate Bad Love Junkie
