The theme: "Possessed by a dark entity, ectoplasmic energy spews forth from the mediums' fingers to communicate cryptic tonal messages through the electric amplification systems of his guitar!!!" :-)

Technically, this was an extremely challenging track for me to play - difficulty rating 11 out of a possible 10! As far as writing is goes though, it was easy:-) The solos were recorded and composed in single sitting while the wife and kids were sleeping. Everything came together without much thought, notes flying like automatic writing - hence the 'tongue in cheek' theme. The guitar I used had a dodgy connection which explains the annoying buzz in places... this was a once-off recording so I can't drop in and repair the dodgy parts which is a bummer:-( Anyway, consider this a demo that I would love to redo in a real studio some day. These runs, sweeps, etc are off the charts Brother Dave. I think you most certainly need to rerecord this track. I mean I can;t hear the things you were talkin about ( buzzing and such)but if you say it's their, this tune is deffo worth a remake. This one is pretty impressive considering its only meant to be a demo. I only wish we could record a piece like this in 3 hrs! A pity about the buzz, at least its not as bad as Billy's dadgy output connection, the lead has to be positioned just so to avoid a noise equivalent to disconnecting from an amp while its still on! Rated for sheer virtuioso guitar work.

I've been playing guitar for about 15 years now. I'm 'self-taught', I play by ear and know pretty much nothing about music theory. What little I do know I got from piano lessons I took as a kid, mostly Bach and Mozart. I think I've developed my own style by avoiding theory, trusting my ears and playing by 'feel'.

I've only recently started doing collaborations with other MP3unsigned artists, I'm always up for experimenting with other musicians so feel free to send me a PM through the mp3unsigned forum or an email to get something started.
